Why Gruis is still on the bench is mind boggling...

We are the worst rebounding team in the country. Looks like a junior high girls team.

I would consider this an almost win. With wins and almost wins the Yotes are something like 7-2 in the Summit. No sense in getting disappointed as this one counts as a moral victory.

Do you ever show up when things go right? Or is the prospect of firing a coach the only thing that gets you motivated enough to talk Coyote athletics?

This is pathetic, and no I'm not referring to coyotefan. Lose Saturday and just book us for the 7 seed.

Joey has said many times that he doesn't like the term "moral victory". He knows that the only thing that counts for his future and the team's future are outright victories. We haven't won a road game since Texas Western and our men really need to get a W on the road to boost their confidence. I'm hoping that we have a lot of Yotes fans at the tourney in Sioux Falls to give our team a sense of "home" court.

These close losses are frustrating. I did not see the game but Im actually surprised it was this close just looking at the numbers. Bos goes 1-10 and Gruis only played 28 mins due to foul trouble? Looks like Gruis was having success when he was on the floor though. Taking away positives, I would say we got crushed on the boards and one of our goto guys went 1-10 and we only lost by 6. We show these flashes of potential and look really good for spurts. We need to put everything together for 40 mins just once, we might surprise ourselves.
I think Cousin Eddie said it best in another thread in that we have no identity. Gruis seems to be our only consistent player. When teams decide to double him or take him out of the game, we look frazzled and no one knows where to turn. Then we launch contested three after contested three as the clock winds down, or are forced in trying to beat guys off the dribble one on one.

Texas State, not Texas Western. Someone's been watching Glory Road lately.

Lets be honest it's hard to show up for the winning when the big 3 right now are all losing programs. I would show up for the winning if it were happening more often.
