Cody Larsen is a wimp period. You will beat state. NDSU beat them by 20+ Eddie. I was thinking Omaha. My bad Lakes, good analysis...NDSU 72- SDSU 69..Larson had 21 and was a beast the 2nd half. Not to mention SDSU is a different kind of team when they play in Frost. SDSU is still one of the favorites in the league in my mind.

I also was at the game last night, and I would like to share my observances. For the first time in I don't know how many years, we have a men's team that is laying it out 100% of the time. Coach Smith is willing them to embody who he is, and that's a guy that would lay down his life to compete. We have no reason even being the game talent wise z( and that's not meant to be a slam against our guys ) but I have said many times before, effort and attitude can overcome a lot of shortcomings, and there's no doubt in my mind, Coach Smith has them giving everything they have, and if not, they don't play period.
I'm so damned impressed with how they play, I can't put it into words. They want to win. Did you watch them at the end? Kasperbauer was pumping fists, Norris was strutting in a celebratory way,and the others were exchanging high fives. My god that's refreshing to see.we finally have a men's team that is busing their ass to do loll they can to win.

Agreed. No slam on our current guys (I respect the shit out of what they are doing) but they're outmatched every night in size and in a lot of cases talent and they are winning the battle most of the time. When Bos slid accross half the court last night after a ball, it's tough to have that type of intensity all game every game and these guys have it.
If Smith is doing this with the guys/talent he has now I cant wait until we get his new recruits next year and for the first season in the new arena in 2. It's looking real promising.

NDSU has some very talented players, it just felt like they didn't play great TEAM basketball last night. The athleticism of some of their guys was just amazing.
