I think this could also be said of ERob when he's not asked to play the 5.

I was watching Indiana play @ Wisconsin the other week and both teams were shooting the lights out in what was a back-and-forth game for a good portion of the first half. Even though the game was tight, it just felt like Wisconsin, a much better, balanced team, was going to take charge and distance themselves. It wasn't a particularly brilliant suspicion. The most casual fan could see Wisconsin taking advantage of its superior size to make high-percentage shots and get to the free-throw line. Meanwhile, Indiana had to keep hitting jump shots and threes just to keep pace. Eventually the percentages took over, or it least that seemed to be the case.
We are a lot more Indiana than Wisconsin. We have the capacity to beat any team in the Summit League, but our margin for error is thin. We are not equipped to simply "talent through" off nights. And that's just fine. Is that really a surprise? This team is far from hopeless. I'm a big believer in Coach Smith, and there's no one I'd rather have leading this team down the homestretch and our program into the future.

The coyotes need a big guy that they can throw the ball inside to. And I hope we have help coming with the new recruits. But, we better make sure we have great guards. Everyone thinks we need a ton of big guys to look the part but if you go back and look at the last 4 or 5 years in the league the difference and playmakers were very good guard play! Taylor Braun, Nate Wolters, ben woodside, and now Lawrence Alexander! Those are difference makers and game changers. But i agree, we need a few big guys that can score and defend, but guard play wins games. Go yotes!
