The Yotes were the better team today. I was really impressed with Austin Sparks today. He had a huge assignment and even though he was beat several times by Cody Larson, he showed a lot of poise and effort. Good job guys. A great day in Vermillion all around. Wish I was there today!

It's a good formula when you are hitting 47% of fg and 50% of threes.

Great team effort, fight and hustle!!! Not going to mention individual performances--everyone contributed quality minutes when called upon. When the Yotes play TEAM basketball like they did tonight with great defense they are hard to beat! GO YOTES!!

Just a side note from Saturday, I know we tend to get hung up on the highs and lows of a team, especially this season where we saw plenty of both, but I just want to take a minute to reiterate the how good a job coach smith and his staff have done this season. To finish with a winning record in conference his first season with a roster overhaul and a complete culture change, is really impressive. Looking forward to supporting them in next weeks battle(s).

golfingyote, you are exactly right. Coach Smith and staff have really put the Coyotes in a good position. They have them entering the SLT, obviously not the favorites, but certainly as a "tough out". I also don't think that the Yotes will get "out-coached" in the Tourney, and the pieces are starting to fit together (Burnette, even Sparks adding some much-needed inside help), and the team defense and rebounding, has been good almost the entire year. "Crushing" the 1 seed right before tourney time doesn't hurt the confidence meter either. I'm looking forward to the Tourney, and even more excited about next year! Go Yotes!
