The Coyotes play at Kansas State tonight at 7PM Central. The game is scheduled to be on ESPN 3 but it is subject to blackout. Hopefully that blackout does not include South Dakota. The game is also on Fox Sports Kansas City.
This will obviously be a tough one to win. If Kasperbauer has 10 treys and Burnett 8 dunks I will pick South Dakota. Otherwise gotta go with the Wild Cats tonight. 86-69 is my shot in the dark guess for this one.

I think the blackout is for whoever has Fox Sports KC, which would be no one in South Dakota. Failing that I believe if you open a private browsing session that you won't be subject to blackouts.

Nice clear video of the game. The Coyotes look at part so far at the under 16 timeout. It's 5-4 Cats with the Yotes on a mini 4-0 run. Kind of a guard oriented game so far for USD. Norris and McLelland look pretty good to me so far.

Fouls fouls fouls. Too many stinking fouls. Got KSU in the bonus with 12:52 left in the half.

I gotta credit these Fox Sports announcers. They actually did some homework coming into the game. They mentioned the two promising freshman in Jech and Hagedorn. They mentioned that the Coyotes could really be good next year with 3 D1 transfers sitting out and could challenge in the Summit next year as well. They mentioned Dave Boots and his long time run with the program. Generally they have been very complimentary of the Yotes. These guys do a good job of announcing. You would think they were Coyote announcers so props to them.

16-9 Coyotes at the under 12. Fortunately my predicition is looking really terrible right now. :-) Maybe the Yotes are here for the long run tonight. It certainly appears to be that way.

First time I'm able to watch the men this year, but I'm impressed with the play of Shy McClelland so far. He just had a very nice coast-to-coast layup against a post with a lot of size on him with a shot at a three-point play.

31-23 South Dakota. The Yotes are just outplaying Kansas State right now. They are making a few threes and playing good defense as well. There really is not much of a difference in talent between these two teams.

It would be just what the doctor ordered to have him step up and be a big contributor to the back court. The Yotes need him to produce and any guards on this team that turn out to be a pleasant surprise will be very helpful to this team.

42-39 Coyotes at the half. K-State has been a good defensive team but the Yotes are exposing them and getting to the basket on them. I am impressed with the first half as this was a very solid effort. Jech is good and could easily end up very good. He had a one handed throw down a very nice basket and one a bit later. The Coyotes put the momentum of the Northridge win in their suitcase and took it with them to Manhattan. Unlike the Women's encounter the officiating has been very fair so far. It seemed after the first couple of games that the Yotes were kind of a two man team but they were far from that in the fist half tonight. I don't remember seeing Hagedorn much so it would be nice if he becomes a bigger part of the rotation. Shy and Norris looked good and we all know what we have in Casey and Trey.
If Craig Smith can get this team to play good basketball this year (much like we saw in the first half) and they end up finishing 3rd or 4th in the Summit this year they are going to be a damn good basketball team for the first year in the new arena.

What are we 4/4 in leading at halftime this year? Learn to finish and we could really start rolling.

Kansas State has come out with alot of energy for the 2nd half and have tied it at 49. The crowd is also getting into it. I think the Coyotes now have their attention, both fans and team.

60-54 Cats at the under 12. It seems like KSU has dominated the entire 2nd half but the Yotes are trying to keep their composure to stay within reach. Shy is really good at getting to the basket and if he can do it tonight he should be able to do it in the Summit. I know KSU isn't the best big 12 team but they are still in the Big 12 which is a top 5 conference in the nation at worst.
