I picked out my seats and pressed for some details about the process. I showed up a few minutes before my assigned time and was left to to go get an idea of where I wanted my tickets to be. Picking out my seats was entirely painless. All taken seats were marked off with green tape and it didn't take me long to find what I thought were the best seats available. Bad news (but really good news) is the amount of seats that were already taken when I showed up for my session (around 3 today). I was told the process started Tuesday and will end around 4 tomorrow, so I am roughly 2/3 of the way down the list, and I could not believe how many seats were spoken for. In the end I think of all seats available for purchase (so removing the student section) at least half will end up being reserved for season ticket holders. I was told that the ticket office is selling about twice as many season tickets as they did for basketball last year - and it has little to nothing to do with corporate sponsors as they were already getting their tickets last year. In spite of the huge jump in season ticket holders I still feel I have great seats and will have no problem whatsoever enjoying the game. I ended up in row 9 and between the free throw and 3 point lines. Even the people in row 20 will end up with a better view than like 95% of the seating in the dome offered. It should seem we are going to see a lot more people at the games this year and it's bound to be a hell of a lot louder too. Thanks for taking the time to describe the process... I am entrusting my wife to make the selection for us. Want her as prepared as possible. Wishing I could be there, but she works in Vermillion and I work in Sioux Falls.

I don't think you have much to worry about unless you and your wife have wildly different preferences for seating.

The season ticket sales have now gone up on the website. The way the talk was I figured there would be barely any left in the prime areas but that is definitely not the case. There are plenty of good seats left for season tickets yet but those tickets require a howling pack donation the way it looks. I would say at least half of the prime seats are still available. The first few rows are taken but many of the seats starting at about row 10 and up are still there for the taking. I can't wait to attend my first basketball game at the new facility.
Does anyone knows when the single game tickets will go on sale?

Row 10 and up are all the half further away from the court. Sounds like in spite of this fact and all your complaining that you can get some good seats at reasonable prices.

When money gets tight, and I struggle to come up with a $100 to make my annual Howling Pack donation, I simply grit my teeth and take on another morning paper route.
