Congrats to the lady Coyotes on going 2-1 in Tulsa this weekend. That gives them a share of the title. On Friday, they dropped a very close decision 3-1 to Alabama, a team that finished 4th in the SEC last year. Then later yesterday they beat Incarnate Word out of San Antonio 3-0. Just completed, they knocked off Tulsa 3-0 in what really wasn't close at all. Friday night Tulsa knocked off Alabama 3-2.
The Coyotes open the new arena against the North Dakota Sue ( flicker tails?) (Sioux?) some colored Hawk...whatever. Anyway, come see the arena, pick out where you want to sit for basketball and cheer our gals on Tuesday night.
Go Yotes
UPDATE:
Coyotes declared tournament champs by using set-win percentage, and our setter, Brittany Jessen was tournament MVP

Congrats to the Lady Yotes on taking down The UND Fighting Hawks in 4 sets tonight for the first game ever in the new arena! Crowd of 2,041 on hand to witness the event. The tours before the game were amazing. The Yotes have a first class facility now. So proud to be a Yote tonight!

Getting over 2K for a volleyball match is pretty damn impressive.

The women beat Northern Colorado and Oregon State yesterday to improve to 8-1 on the season. Their only loss so far was the first match of the year against Alabama.

Higher attendance for this season's opener than last season's cumulative attendance. UND game: 2,401 attendance UMKC game: 656 attendance 2015 Summit League average home attendance: 443 2015 Summit League team's averages: 719 - NDSU 630 - Oral Roberts 494 - UNO 473 - IPFW 402 - SDSU 398 - IUPUI (had to use 2014 numbers, website is messed up) 346 - Denver 278 - Western Ill 243 - USD We have a chance with the new arena and some excitement over a good season to build an intimidating home court advantage within league standards. I just hope that the numbers don't gravitate back down over time. Augustana routinely draws more people than most of the Summit League teams, so I know it's within reach.

Nice sweep of the Bison to stay undefeated in conference and in the "Den"! Almost 700 attendance is a good number, and keeps us in the top of the league for average attendance.
Question for anyone attending:
Have they fixed the sound system?

Volleyball sweeps the Bunny rabbits... now 15-2 this year. At this rate they might be the highlight of all coyote teams this year. I'd encourage all who are going to the fb game to head over and support the volleyball team right after the Yotes beat UNI!! It's free with a football ticket after all...

I don't believe they have lost a set yet in SL play. That is pretty dominant.

Predictably, no article from the Argus. One blip from KDLT and that's it. Oh well. I guess we will have to beat every team in the league before we get some air time from the Sioux Falls media.
I tried to find articles on USD Volleyball in the Argus, and I found a bunch of them at the end of August because of the new arena, but nothing for the past two weeks.
