This year is another example of Mick just simply hating on the Coyotes. In his podcast with Jay when he first started talking about the Bowling Green game he made it seem like the Coyotes needed an earth shattering performance to beat Bowling Green. Mick the Coyotes in Vegas are basically being given a 45% chance to win the game. They do not have to play an outstanding game to win. They just need to play an above average game or slightly more and they can definitely pull it out. Even though I picked Bowling Green I would be absolutely 0% surprised if the Coyotes won and I am very excited to watch the game on Saturday knowing they have a good chance to take this one.
Mick in a recent title of an article acted like he was covering Bowling Green and not the Coyotes. The article is titled "Bowling Green Hungry for a Win This Week". Like the Coyotes aren't hungry or maybe they are just an afterthought to pristine Bowling Green coverage. It is not just this one article but he always goes out of his way to almost delegitimize the Yotes. There is no way the blue and yellow cheerleader writing at the Argus would do this kind of article or talk about the Jacks that way.

It was a breakdown of the Bowling Green team as an opponent. It wasn't really even a story about USD. You are far too sensitive. www.argusleader.com/story/blogs/mickgarry/2017/09/05/bowling-green-hungry-win-week/635742001/He didn't say they needed an earth shattering performance. He said they needed to play a great game, which they do. Nothing wrong with that. Also, it is reflective of BG's reality. They lost last week and play Northwester next week. Three losses would be bad. If we lost three in a row, you would be on riot alert. BG is an FBS 85 scholarship team. By comparison, SDSU played a 45 scholarship team last week. We played a zero scholarship team. If you don't think that makes a difference, I can't help you. Talk to almost anybody, this game is like playing the top of the FCS in the playoffs, for sure - at their house. Man, only hours ago you think the Drake game is worthless and you complain about the level of competition. Now we are playing an FBS team and you think it is a walk in the park. Remember when Nebraska crushed MBB? You know why that is? It was essentially a two level gap. This is a one level gap. It won't be easy. After that game, you threw a fit and thought the world was coming to an end. How'd the season end up? There is nothing wrong with a reporter being honest and keeping expectations low. He wasn't being critical of USD, just complimentary of BG. If we win, it will be a big deal. No doubt about it.

Personally, I think Mick does a great job for us. He's just very pragmatic about things...and that's fine.

Zimmer giving us props... You don't see that every day. Zimmer had been pretty consistent all year that USD was going to be a team to watch. I don't think he has any agenda either way. That guy calls a spade a spade.
