Wow, touch foul every time Wyoming drives to the hoop.

52-52 Overtime. Wyoming hit 2 free throws with 5 seconds left. The Coyotes did not handle their last possession very well at all and didn't really get a shot off.

The calls have been in favor of Wyoming.

This is a broadcast best watched with the volume muted. Southern accents and homerism are two things I can't stand in my commentary. They're radio announcers for Wyoming... it's kind of their job to be a homer. I do laugh everytime I hear Dolly Parton either cheer or sigh after every play though I do understand they have an interest in one of these teams, but they are laying it on way too thick. I don't need to hear groans or whoops after every damn play.

Wyoming wins in OT 69-62. This one pi**es me off a bit and not because of anything the Coyotes did wrong. Circumstances just didn't work out today. The Yotes had a late 4 point lead and couldn't hold it. It seemed like the calls were definitely slanted towards Wyoming especially the critical fouls. I hope Wyoming shows up on the Coyotes schedule next year in Vermillion. They better make the return trip as far as I am concerned. I see a Coyote butt whipping if the rematch does happen. No homer calls and Cowboys fans to help them next time if it does happen.
Wyoming was definitely lucky to pull it out today. The Coyotes played well and I don't think any Summit team outside of South Dakota would have accounted for themselves as well as the Yotes did today. This would have been the biggest win of the year so far to get it.
Dawn seems very disturbed in the post game interview. You can tell that the way the game was called bothered her and then the audio goes down. It seems like the audio has been very sketchy going in and out when listening from the Coyote web site. The Cow Pie girls got way more free throws towards the end of the game. Sorry I am just not a fan of anything Wyoming after this game.

That'll happen with young teams... had multiple chances to put it away in the final minute and couldn't make a play. It's a long season, better to drop one like this early rather than late

It's been my experience to observe that the home team gets an advantage every time playing at home it seems, just how much varies with each different reffing crew, and how many people in attendence at the game.Seems they are overly concerned with sending the fans home happy, good for womens basketball.JMO.
That said, they had their chances to win the game, but as pointed out already, they are still a young team and will use the experience from this game to win these games in the future.Have to learn to make your own "luck" so to speak, and not rely on refereeing as much,be a resilient team capable of taking punches and dealing with questionable calls from (maybe?) homer refs.In general,it's in bad taste to blame reffereeing for a loss, even if there's some truth to it.

I really don't think the Coyotes youth was the reason they lost the game today. They had plenty of chances to wilt at anytime against a pretty good team and a team that is very good at home. They hung tough for the whole game and things just didn't happen to go their way in the last minute of regulation. They just lost to a good team on their home court that made a few more plays today. The Coyotes don't play like a young team and I didn't think they played like a young team today either but that is just IMHO. Larobe I understand what you are saying but having purposely slanted refs to a home team to me is not good for women's basketball especially in an effort to send the home fans happy. The officials should be impartial to all elements and just simply call a fair game.
As I said I hope their is a rematch in Vermillion next year.

Good post Coyote fan,I agree with you on how refereeing should be.But the home teams do lose too,so i won't say it (bad officiating) happens all the time.Things like this usually even out during the course of the season.I hope they committed for a game in Vermillion too next year, should be a different outcome there, such a hard place for the visiting team to win at.

Wyoming had plenty to complain about in the refereeing department as well. There were some questionable calls all around (Duffy's two to foul out in OT were just bad) but that's part of the game. The Coyotes lost this one on their own, though. If you want to win on the road in a tight game, you better be able to at least get a shot off on your last two possessions of regulation.

And on that note, why the 'Yotes EVER go away from the high pick and roll with Duffy and Bridget setting the double on-ball screen for Allison is a mystery to me. That's a guaranteed good look. Make them stop it.
