Summit Opener at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center. Eventhough Denver is not the best the conference opener always brings extra excitement. The Coyotes are equipped to make a very strong title defense.
Tonight I will go 88-59 Coyotes.

Seems to me that blowouts are not the norm, as Coach P keeps working on new things to build as the season goes. But this one should be something resembling a blowout. Likely a few lopsided games in SL tonight.

I see Trimboli is on crutches and a big knee brace - surgery over the break? Anyone know what her eligibility status is for next year? Did she already have a redshirt year?

Yote women did not look comfortable in the first period... making a lot of mistakes. Not used to seeing them play like this...

32-26 South Dakota at the half. The Coyotes are playing hard but just not executing on the offensive end as proficient as usual. They are crushing the Pioneers on the boards. The hustle has been just fine. The Christmas break might have put on a small layer of rust. Last check the Jack women were losing at NDSU by 9.

37-22 Rabbit Men over NDSU at half at Frost Arena. The Coyotes are going to have to play a darn good game on Saturday to come out of that house of horrors with a win. It's been a long time since the Yotes have taken away a victory from Brookings.

Yotes just can't seem to put Denver away, but have made free throws down the stretch.

These kinds of games happen, but the Coyotes kept their composure and wouldn't let Denver take the lead down the stretch. Denver seemed to get an awful lot of calls for a underdog road team. Not that they don't deserve their fair share but they were getting a few more than I would like to see.
If there is a better player then Allison Arens in the Summit League I would like to know her name. She doesn't take a back seat to anyone including those named with the initials M & M.

Not an impressive game for us tonight, should have beat this team by a lot more than 6. Nevertheless we are perfect in SL play through one game.
Allison Arens with another fantastic game though. It is absolutely incredible what she is doing, gotta be favorite for league MVP at this point. Playing in all 40 minutes, she put up 28 points, 11 rebounds, and set two school records at the free throw line. She had a double-double...IN THE FIRST HALF! Her sister Bridget had a good game too, the two of them combined for 40 of our 70 points.
