No need to play this season again as the Rabbits are predicting another undefeated season, regular season and conference tourney champs just like last year...oh wait. Sorry for the thread drift. And not just this coming season, but for the next 2 years. This is the latest from one of their many bat sh!+ crazy fans on their cesspool message board "I think you could arguably say our depth will be as good as it has ever been. Heck a person could realistically say that this team could field 2 separate starting 5's that could win the Summit. I imagine the other teams are shaking their heads and wondering how to survive let alone compete the next 2 years...and beyond."Sorry I had to continue the thread drift.

Their alternate plan was that they were going to make a deep WNIT run. That was a guarantee as well and how did that turn out. They were about O for 5 in their reckless predictions. conference title nope, tourney title nope, undefeated Summit season not close, sweet 16 birth nope, WNIT run nope. If there was ever a program that could field two Summit caliber teams with one roster it would have been the 2015-16 Coyotes. I would take that bunch over what the Jacks will end up producing. The Coyotes depth won't be too bad either this year. They have Trimboli and now Duffy back and also seem to have a nice freshman class coming in. The Coyotes have just as much if not more reason for optimism then SDSU. The Coyotes players coming back are more proven as far as depth is concerned. Aaron Johnston is becoming like Boot's became. He may very well be burning out in Brookings. I am not stupid enough to assume a conference title, tourney championship and sweet 16 birth in the NCAA tourney. If there was one word that is definitely not in the Jackrabbit dictionary it is the word "Humble". That doesn't come in the serum that they inject their people with.

I dislike State as much as anyone but to say AJ is "burning out" is ridiculous. They lost someone who will arguably go down as one of the best to play at SDSU. Most teams won't recover from that and they were still near the top of the league. They were 2 points from advancing to the Sweet 16 TWO SEASONS AGO.

I guess I'm expecting WIU to get the preseason nod, but wouldn't surprise me to have State named, either. Both of those teams should get 1st place votes. I'd be floored if we weren't picked 3rd.

Big difference.

Based on the roster, the Yotes WBB class of 2018 can only be 3 girls maximum. Lots of BB coaches like to hold back a scholarship for a transfer, so it wouldn't surprise me to only see 2 girls sign this fall.
I haven't seen confirmation of any scholarship offers via twitter, but here are the girls I have seen with both us and them following each other:
Klaire Kirsch, PG/SG 5'-11" - Rapid City, SD Ellie Spelhaug, PF/SG 5'-10" - Bettendorf, Iowa
Abby Garnett, PF/C 6'-1" - Golden, CO Reilly Dunn, PF/C 6'-2" - Fort Collins, CO
Kinda looks like we will take 1 guard and 1 post. Of course, this could mean nothing. Aislinn Duffy, sister of Caitlin and Ciara, doesn't have a twitter account. I'd guess she gets a look, but on the other hand, she is a bench player for St Thomas More.
Also- June and July are the months we saw all of our commitments last year, so hopefully we will see something soon.

Some updates on 2018 players mentioned in this thread:
Simone Goods: Transferred to Illinois State Tierra McGowan: Transferred to Morehead State(KY) (Juco Player of the Year) Ellie Spelhaug: Committed to Bradley Abby Garnett: Committed to Ohio
I don't have access to twitter follows anymore as of a few weeks ago (don't have a twitter account, and they must have changed access rules), so I've got less info for "scoops". If anyone else does, feel free to update.
I'm surprised we haven't seen any 2018 commits yet. With Severyn's departure, there should be 4 open spots for the 2018 class.

Anyone know anything about the tweet that just went out talking about an addition to the pack?
