Whoa, whoever schedules the Summit never ceases to amaze me with their stupidity.

If Douple can't figure out a schedule that makes sense then why should we believe he will do what is in the best long term interests for the league. Douple needs this league much more then this league needs him. Time to give him the axe before we start up new league rivalries with Mount Marty and Briar Cliff.

Whoa, whoever schedules the Summit never ceases to amaze me with their stupidity. Just baffling. Might as well just draw names out of a hat. Can the league's ADs do nothing to influence the schedule?

To add to the stupidity. Men and women play Omaha same day in different locations. Man, get a clue Douple. Games are within driving distance and Omaha would kill for the gate revenue but we split them up. Where did you find the women's schedule? Not seeing it in the website.

I just checked and the women's schedule is still not up. Looking at the Men's conference home games they have 3 wednesday games, 1 thursday game and only 3 saturday games. It certainly looks as if the number of double headers this year is going to be down which will likely hurt attendance. Losing one conference game also hurts as well.
I was pretty rough on the Summit League after the Summit tourney with the officiating during the SDSU game etc. Maybe it was an over reaction but things haven't really been all that great since, then losing IUPUI and now having to accept this less then desirable schedule. Of course there has been nothing for rumors or official info out of the Summit League regarding the future of the league. The Coyotes have 7 home conference games but if the Summit was a full league they would have at least 9. 7 conference homes games sucks pretty bad. The Coyotes have been going through less then desirable basketball leagues for several years now including the Great West and just when things were looking like they were going to stabilize we are going backwards with the desirability of the league once again.

Jan 17 vs. Oral Roberts at different locations (men, women) Jan 20 vs. Omaha Feb 1 vs. Western Ill Feb 3 vs. NDSU at least the Rivalry games with SDSU will be one day apart both times: Jan 24/25 Feb 20/21 I bet the league got grief from USD about that from last year when they played at the same time.

Two home double-headers on Dec 30 and Feb 17. They should do more of those IMO.

IUPUI leaving made for some weird travel as well on both the men and women's side.

I understand that IUPUI leaving would make it hard to do scheduling but this schedule is kind of stupid. Still, I have a post on this site about last year's schedule and how inconvenient it was to building a large home gate, so nothing new out of the SUmmit.
When building the schedule they should have set up some primary rules of scheduling and then built around them. For USD, the primary rules would be the SDSU games should always take place on Friday night, Saturday, or Sunday afternoon, and the WBB game with SDSU should never mirror the MBB game. I understand not doing doubleheaders.
Putting, literally, the marquee game in the league on a weeknight is stupid.

Hey! At least they didn't mirror the State-U games on New Year's Eve again. Give Douple some credit for this great progress.

Just curious, have any of you looked at other forums within the league to see their thoughts on the scheduling?

When it comes to fans that travel at least 30 minutes double headers are big. I made at least 4 double headers but only 2 singles. When I see the men and women playing back to back I make it a priority. It makes a long trip worthwhile. Those solo games are not slam dunks to make a trip.

Right. I would think that, if the fans at other programs are upset over the scheduling, maybe there could be some type of push to get all the AD's to work together in arguing for a better way to schedule these games.
