I like it - An RPI booster in Tennessee(RPI 19 last year), an even match-up with Oklahoma State (RPI 81), and a winnable game with Indiana State (RPI 251). This should show Coach P where this team is at early in the season.

I don't know if they were just off the night they played the 'Yotes in the first round of the WNIT or just didn't care, but they looked awful that night... I mean like Ft Wayne awful. Is the Summit that much better than the Big Sky in hoops? UND might find the going a lot tougher in a few years.

My thought is the Summit is somewhat better than the BSC, but that particular game result was more of a deal where nobody except WIU played well against our Women in the SCSC. It will be interesting to see how much of an advantage the SCSC is after opponents have been there before. UND will fit right into the upper half of the league instantly.

I think it was a combination of things, but going into that game I felt like we had an advantage based on the more aggressive style of defense we play (and play against) in the Summit. Also, I thought AA might have a big game because they wouldn't have "figured her out" like we saw from SDSU, IUPUI, and W Ill in the last half of the season. Sure enough, AA shot 11-of 13 from the field, scoring nearly half of her 24 points in the first quarter. She also grabbed a career-high 7 steals in the game. North Dakota also turned the ball over 20 times! I agree that UND will be a contender right away, though. Which will only help the other schools, RPI and competition-wise. Playing in the Summit will up their game, I think.

It's really disappointing not to see Wyoming on the schedule at home after what happened at their place last year. That game had me steaming with how it ended with some bad calls and just unfortunate things that happened out there.

Looks like SDSU will again have a little tougher Non-con schedule than us. It's a strategy they have had for awhile, and it definitely helps the RPI, assuming they don't get too beat-up in them. Here's a comparison of 2017 non-con schedules using last year's final RPI's:
SDSU (RPI)---------------USD (RPI)--------------Western Ill (RPI)
-----------------------------------------------------Stanford (6) Louisville (11) Oklahoma (20)-----------Tennessee (19) Creighton (23)-----------Creighton (23) Drake (26) Green Bay (28) NC State (39) Northern Iowa (52) Geo Washington (54) ---------------------------Iowa State (60) ------------------------------------------------------Gonzaga (66) ------------------------------------------------------Northern Ill (75) FGCU (80)---------------Oklahoma State (81) ---------------------------Stephen F Austin (89) Charlotte (120) North Dakota (131)-----North Dakota (131) ---------------------------Tulsa (144)---------------Milwaukee (145) Wichita State (173)--Wichita State (173)---Wichita State (173) ---------------------------UC Riverside (187) -------------------------------------------------------Illinois (208) -------------------------------------------------------Bradley (232) ---------------------------Indiana State (251) Bowling Green (256) ---------------------------CSU Bakersfield (263)---Austin Peay (262) -------------------------------------------------------SE Missouri St (267) -------------------------------------------------------UMKC (292) ---------------------------Incarnate Word (333) -------------------------------------------------------Chicago State (344)

Our non-con Schedule is very front-loaded. We play all of our toughest opponents in the first two weeks. After the Cancun tourney there are some easier games before the conference season starts.
I could see us coming out of November with 3 or 4 losses, then have things turned around by the time we play @ SFA, and that game could be a big confidence-building win, then there is a long home-stand before conference play.

Voted! I like this description from the article: So, are they pronouncing that like the boogey-man, or like a golf bogey? And have any of you heard that word used in that context? A little weird IMO. I like the sentiment, but the Jacks weren't the sole reason for us missing the Tourney last year. IUPUI, WIU and UNO all had more to do with it.

so, clearing your cache on the computer didn't work for me for voting more than once, but just waiting and voting later did. So if it's been like an hour since you have voted, give it another shot. If it takes your vote it says "thanks for voting" instead of "we already recorded your vote"...
worth a shot...
