Gottsleben retiring after 33 years coaching track & field. Been an absolute giant among coaches, not just at USD, but regionally and nationally as well. We were lucky to have and to keep him all these years. Thanks for everything Coach Gotts.

He has been an amazing asset to the University. He will be missed.
Thoughts on his replacement...? Derek Miles?

He has been an amazing asset to the University. He will be missed. Thoughts on his replacement...? Derek Miles? I was thinking the very same thing with Miles. Does he want to be responsible for the entire team or does he want to just focus on pole vaulting only. It's great to have a guy of his stature around campus. Thanks for all you did for Track and Field Dave.

Great for Gotz, and well deserved. Took Intro to Coaching with him and absolutely loved it. Really great guy.
