Six games? In a college football landscape where suspensions are either one game or a straight ban, I have to assume these guys would have been thrown off the team on most other campuses.

This is Stig we're talking about. The players were probably 6 minutes late to church group. 1 game suspension for every minute late. Seems plausible.

I will admit for as much as I hate the bunnies, their fans actually, not the players, they're just doing what they love to do, I don't think they'd tolerate too much crap up in Brookings. NDSU same thing. It seems that all the Dakota schools run pretty clean ships unlike some of our conference members to the east.

Nice try, but that's why Miercort was axed despite some on field success. Administration made it clear that these kind of people would not be tolerated. A lot of roster cleansing right when we were joining the MVFC. Not very good timing for that and, in my opinion, Glenn took the bullet. We've had rule breakers too this offseason, some very good players, but they were dismissed, not suspended for six games.

What I don't understand is that if it's been known for so long why not say what it is?
Was Judge suspended or booted from the team for weed earlier this year?

Rumor over on Bisonville is that this might be related to the rumors of some SDSU players having a "hot" test during the playoffs last year. 6 game suspension would seem to fit a drug offense. Until the reasons for the suspension come out the speculation will run wild. Now, I don't think SDSU is required to or even should say anything. The point is that the speculation will continue. Also noted that the Jacks biggest cheerleader, the Argus, isn't going to force the issue and will pretty much be a willing accomplice on the public relations side. Stig able to sweep this under the rug due to no media pressure. Is SDSU really that clean of a program? I still think so, but you have to admit, they could be dirty as hell and we'd never know different.

If it's for weed they should do the appropriate time and it's interesting if they pushed this back if it was during the playoffs. If it were the Yotes it would be all over (save your you have to make it to the playoffs first). Side note: legalize weed already. Alcohol is worse and teams won't have to even deal with this in the future.

I'm really not into either, but it doesn't seem to me that either one is better or worse than the other. Didn't the government try a ban on alcohol in the 1920s? How'd that work out? A lot of lives have been ruined over possession of a stupid plant. Just legalize and tax the hell out of it. End rant.
