Why does anyone care if SDSU fans are giving the Yotes respect? It's not like we don't end up playing them and a bunch of other same teams from the conference. If we beat them and do well in the conference then I'm sure we'll earn their respect, if not, then we probably won't and we'll look foolish for bitching about not having it after the first two games of the year. Having the respect of the opposing fans doesn't really do us any good in the win/loss column. The fact of the matter is we haven't finished over .500 in conference yet. It's tough to bitch too much about not having the proper respect. Hopefully we will earn it this year. I've always been a fan of not wanting respect i feel it makes a team hungrier and if teams underestimate you maybe they'll take you for granted.

The Jacks just lost 7-19 at Youngstown State. It could have been 7-26 but Youngstown didn't score down near the Jacks end zone to end the game. There is very little question that so far Streveler absolutely deserves the League MVP over Christian so far. Youngstown ran down the entire last half of the 4th quarter on the drive and kept running it right at the core of the defense knowing they were doing to do so and SD-ST still couldn't stop it. I am surprised that the Jacks only scored 7 in the game.
Youngstown will be a tough out next week but we will see how the Coyote offense does in comparison to how SDSU did.

I like to do a standing based on the home loss vs road win criteria. Ties broken by teams with wins first and whoever had the harder game second. 1 Illinois State +1 2 South Dakota +1 3 Northern Iowa +1 4 North Dakota St E 5 Youngstown State E 6 South Dakota St E 7 Indiana State E 8 Western Illinois -1 9 Southern Illinois -1 10 Missouri State -1

Time out CF. I believe Illinois St. shoulda received an E (win at home) and Mo. St. an E (loss on road).
Regardless, let's revile in our win! Next week's gonna be a tough one. GO Yotes!!

Unless I tabulated incorrectly Illinois State won at Missouri State getting them the +1 in that game. Then they beat Indiana State at home giving them nothing for that game since it was a home win. You get nothing for a home win.
Missouri State gets a -1 for a home loss vs Illinois State but they get nothing for a road loss at NDSU.
You only score plus points for road wins and minus points for home losses. Home wins and road losses count nothing in these standings.

The standings are an accumulation of the season for MVFC games. Since Missouri State and Illinois State have both played two games both of their games are collectively part of the standings.

It's a take-off of the old game that everyone used to play with USD back in the Coach Ed days. USD would win a big game and our rivals would come over here and tell us it didn't count because the game was at the Dome and we needed to prove it by winning on the road.

Well, at least the Bunny fans are quiet this week.

I'm not sure why it is hard to imagine USD's passing attack is better than SDSU's. But since the guy from Fargo needs some help: - USD has a better QB - USD has a better offensive scheme - USD has 7 or 8 players to target to throw the ball to that are all really really good - USD has a QB who isn't brittle, so teams have to pay attention to him running - USD has a better O line - SDSU has a very good WR and a very good TE That didn't seem so hard at all.
