This vehicle issue sounds interesting. All I know from the commercials is that "love is a Subaru".

Im concerned that although these kids have it beaten in to their heads that Coastal is the objective. Many are looking past to the date they circled on their calendar. Beat not USD but Bob Nielson, send him out of town tarred and feathered on rails (figuratively speaking) This is the only game this year that WIU views as a must win. Betrayal is not soon forgotten. Two questions: Are you as concerned about all the professors who have moved on, staff that has been released, programs that have been cut and businesses in McComb that have been affected as you are about losing your football coach who you didn't like anyway? Were you concerned about Tyler Yelk's feelings when he had the job jerked out from under his nose? Yelk deserved the job. That was botched. Illinois is corrupt we are laying off teachers, buy my wife's cousin that works for the state making 160K a year with no college degree just retired at 52 with a full pension. Cronyism and Nepotism are the norm, as is corruption. How Western was able to get Charlie Fischer from Richmond is a God send. But, yes people were pretty fucking outraged when Yelk didn't get the job initially. God Damn that was just so unbelievably stupid.

I assumed your administrator had the settings to ***** profane language. Like 99% of message boards.
My apologies to those I have offended.

I'll root against WIU simply because of the stupid things that have come out in this thread about Bob You're more than an entitled to your opinions. Prey tell what stupid things about your bff Bob are you referring to that have you coyote feelings hurt? The man lied to his players faces. I can appreciate why he made the decision he did. Yotebewithyou, let me spell it out, Coach Nielson did what he perceived to be best for his career and family. It is the lying deceitful way that he exit Macomb that Fans and his recruits remember. Why is this so hard for you to understand? Btw I was rooting for USD to whoop the F'ing Hawks. Well done. Did it ever occur to you as others have posted in this thread already that he didnt make the decision to leave WIU until after that meeting with the players?

Yeah, I don't know if Bob was holding out or meant to stay in Macomb but. I'm guessing he got an offer he couldn't refuse. Yes it was probably USDs last ditch offer that was just way to good to refuse.

Just cause i was never a big fan of his personality there are thing i can give him credit for he came to Western when the situation around the football program was ugly uglier off than on the field he was replacing a coach who became the head coach do to an AD who had his own agenda's and got the school a pretty nice lawsuit there are a lot of coach with the success that he had who would have never even given WIU the time of day. PUNCTUATION! Another reason to not like WIU. Their grammar is worse than the joke of an education you get at Brooking's technical and agricultural college.

There are also implications that the Vermilion Mafia otherwise known as the Yote "syndicate" had a hand in this.

LeatherneckCountry is usually pretty spot on with his assessments. He has never endorsed grammar. Not directed at anyone in particular but my neighbor is unaware that their is a word that exists that is "our". I hear a lot about "are" I'm just guessing he's descended from pirates.

If we flexed financial muscles to get the man they wanted then so be it. I do wish the NCAA would figure something out that if a coach leaves the players get a chance to leave without penalty.

Wait what did I miss someone wanted Yelk to get the head job I can't imagine how bad are defense would have been I would have loved to have seen AJ get the job but he was already leaving for Rutgers the best part of that was the person who screwed that up got fired.

Only on a USD board
I think the prevailing thought was that Yelk made the most sense. I remember when Nielson left I thought F**k what now. WIU just back to respectability.
I also knew when Yelk went with Nielson that WIU was left with nothing.
