Chris started for the Bombers since they were protecting their starter in the first preseason game. He had a typical Streveler 26 yr run that led to a fg early on. Juking a couple tacklers and running over the last two. Had limited playing time since their battle is for 3rd QB. Was 2/6 passing for 15 and 2 rushes for 34. Game was streamed.

Last night they kept Chris out of regular action in the last preseason game. He just held on place kicks. Bombers still trying to determine 3rd string QB.

Winnipeg will be on ESPN2 Saturday night at 8PM MDT for their season opener against the BC Lions.
Sounds like all of the CFL games will be on one of the ESPN networks this season.

Strev had a 1 yd TD plunge in the 4th in the Bomber's 33-23 win over BC. He had 5 carries for 14 yds and no pass attempts. Was used in short yardage situations for several 1st downs and is virtually unstoppable for 1 to 2 yds.

Chris only played 2 plays last night since the Bomber's starting QB was playing well. One was a 3rd and 2 where the designed handoff to the RB went for no gain. Chris usually gets the first. The 2nd was running play to their star RB when trying to run clock and he lost a fumble. Sure coaches wished they'd kept ball in Chris's hands. Stefan Logan up tonight at PR/KR primarily with Montreal which also is on ESPN2.

Chris had a very good game coming in for the Bomber's injured starting QB in the 2nd half. He was 6/8 for 44 yds 1 TD & 1 Int (ball was deflected at line of scrimmage) and 11 rushes for 44 yds for several 1st downs and two TDs. So the Bomber remain undefeated. Watched on ESPN+ replay.

CFL games are generally on Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays. The regular season ends in early November. This season ESPN will have every CFL game on one of their networks. ESPN+ costs $5 a month (little less if you pay annually) You can live stream all sorts of sporting events on your computer and or watch events on replay up to several days after (includes a lot of Coyote events) I've had it almost a year and works very well.

Weekly article in The Athletic: THE INSIDERS SAY Anonymous thoughts from CFL general managers, coaches and personnel people … • In all of my years up here, playing and coaching, (Chris) Streveler is the best short-yardage quarterback I’ve seen. The way they run it in (Paul Lapolice’s) scheme, we have to worry about big plays as much as giving up first downs. More big plays, really. Whatever he weighs, Streveler is a fucking beast.
