I just found this web page. It looks like a page that was not supposed to be accessed yet but is there to announce the return of the Roos. It is a current page because UND is listed in the banner and the events are current. www.thesummitleague.org/members/umkc/index

If you replace 'umkc' in the address bar with 'iupui', you get a similar page for them. I'm guessing it is just an old link.
That said, it has to just be a matter of when, not if, that announcement is made, doesn't it?

The Summit is the fallback option for schools that are looking for something better and are not successful so have to beg for the league to take them back. Douple is standing in the Summit doorway with open arms because he has no vision for the future other then the same old same old conference held together by bailing wire. Has this guy even tried to go out looking for better options to improve the conference. Now that UMKC is likely back the option for Summit football gets smaller and smaller in the rear view mirror. We should be going after schools that sponsor football.

We should be going after schools that sponsor football. Kansas and KState weren't interested and either was Nebraska. Iowa State shot us down too. Said there were already too many ISUs involved. Personally, I'd like to see Northern Colorado, but they have to want to join. A lot of other suggestions that have been tossed around would be great, but in most cases they're somewhat of a pipe dream. Find someone in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Minnesota, Oklahoma or Wisconsin That would improve their lot by jumping to the MVFC/Summit.

New Mexico State Northern Colorado Southern Utah Eastern Illinois
just off the top of my head
If the Summit does not improve itself NDSU is going to be the first program to want out. The Summit tourney in Sioux Falls is not a big tipping point for them staying put and FBS is always on the back burner for them. It seems like their fans in general are the least convinced that adding schools like UMKC is a good idea. Either you are proactive or reactive. Douple seems reactive all the way. If Douple is going to continue to dilly dally around I hope the Dakota Four leave him unemployed.
The MVFC football programs should simply create their own all sports conference but it makes way too much sense to actually happen. IMO screw the private schools and other schools that don't sponsor football. For the MVFC programs currently in the Valley they obviously think they are above the Dakota's but if they join forces they can stop having the private MVC schools continue to tell them what to do. We need to discontinue having conference members that play in high school gym type facilities. USD is on the rise and UMKC will do nothing but try to pull them back down.

Northern Colorado - Already has an all sports conference with a basketball league of similar caliber Southern Utah - Already has an all sports conference with a basketball league of similar caliber Eastern Illinois - Already has an all sports conference with a basketball league of similar caliber
I'd like to see New Mexico State join. Maybe they, and the others mentioned, have been invited, but no one wants to join the Summit. You can't polish a turd. No one with any good options will join this conference. Even IUPUI was able to secure greener pastures. No one wants to be in this conference outside of the Dakotas.

I'm for any of those schools except SUU even when they were in the league they weren't in the MVFC. I personally would like to see WIU go to the OVC but that's not going to happen.
