I watch the Dan Patrick Show on TV (while on the #@&**) treadmill in the morning, but they focus on the NBA and Northeast professional teams too much. One thing for sure - there's a lot of sports talk out there. We just had another radio station in Rapid City go full-time to talking sports and it's too much for me.
Wish ESPN or similar would "regionalize" at least one talk show they produce. Other than maybe at the professional level, I really don't care to hear much about the Alabama's, Clemson's and yes - UCLAs of the world.

Looks like the game is on the Pac12 Network. Which is another way of saying no one will get to watch it on TV or online. Frustrating.
If someone knows a way around that train wreck of a network, please post it.

UCLA looks to be the most beatable of the three power teams we drew this year. Duke is ranked 4, TCU 15, and UCLA is completely out of the polls. If we play as well as we did in the other two then I think we win this game. Have got to play better than the past three games. I'm expecting a good one.

Could it be possible that the Coyotes were looking ahead in anticipation of UCLA? I mean really...Northern Arizona in a volleyball gym and then San Jose in an empty arena all the while knowing the Bruins in Pauley await. I know, I know, one at a time, but it had to be like a little kid waiting for Santa. I think we'll acquit ourselves quite nicely.

I was at the game yesterday. Coyote fans were louder than San Jose by far. Decent number of Coyote fans and some alumni that live on the coast.
What you might not have been able to diagnose on the tv was how badly their size advantage hurt us in the first half. Altered our shots. Second half we opened up from outside and that's what propelled the win. My point is if UCLA is that long with surely far more athletic players, that could spell our demise. Also, we had three officials that i guaranty do more Coyote games than San Jose. I thought we got the vast majority of the 50/50 calls. That part was awesome.
Looking forward to the game tomorrow night. Weather here was gorgeous today. Probably low 70''s. Hope we play our best tomorrow night to see indeed how we stack up. Just for kicks and giggles kiyoat, where is UCLA in those rankings? Take that info then feed Aldeit the facts and let him come down with the prediction. 😜

I seriously envy your lifestyle. You are at every big Coyote event anywhere across the country. I need to get to that point someday.
Have a great time at the game. Maybe the Yotes can help get Steve Alford fired. I just wish the Ball circus was still in town there when we beat them.

That said, we at getting UCLA with a classic trap-game scenario - finals week (or students are already gone), Michigan-Cincinnati-USD-Kentucky schedule, and I read a tweet that we had a nice road win over 2-8 team. Hoping for a good game, and the Sling free trial thing works out.

Final score prediction: University of South Dakota Coyotes 80, UCLA 77.
Okay, maybe a bit crazy (?) but I just wanted to post this once! I mean we're playing UCLA for cripes sake (and have a chance - kind of like a first or second round of March Madness).

Hoping for a good game, and the Sling free trial thing works out. I just started my 7-day free trial with Sling and I do have the Pac-12 Network up and running. Apparently they do things differently than the Big 10 Network, there are six different regional Pac 12 Networks. Our game is on Pac-12 Los Angeles. I have that going and they are currently showing the 2006 USC-UCLA football game. I also switched over to Pac-12 Oregon and got a live game between Portland State and Oregon, so I can confirm this works for live sports. It is a good idea to get this trial active in advance. Full disclosure, you will need a card when signing up (just be sure to cancel after the game). I actually did this free trial 4-5 times over the Summer and can confirm you won't be charged anything if you cancel. If anyone else plans on doing this be sure to select the Sports Extra option. Pac 12 Network is not part of their three standard plans, you have to select Sports Extra to get Pac 12 Network. I promise that you still won't be charged if you cancel in time.

UCLA is not really playing that well so this might be a good time to catch them. A Tuesday night game I think favors the Coyotes as maybe they have a thinner crowd. I am very tempted to pick this upset but I can't quite pull the trigger. I think the Coyotes have about a 25% chance to pull off this game. I will go with UCLA 81-78 but it wouldn't be a complete shock and the Coyotes are good enough to win this without having to be lucky to do so.
