I know it is early for any stats comparisons to mean anything, but I thought I would take a look anyway. This team will have a little different character in year 2 for Coach P, so it will be interesting to see the evolution. I'll just mention a few stats to start with:
Individual:
Kate Liveringhouse 56.7% FG (best in Summit) 50.0% 3-pt (3rd in Summit)
Allison Arens 25 FT attempts (2nd in Summit) 22 FT made (2nd in Summit) 88% FT (#4 in Summit)

Team Stats:
86.3% FT (#3 in D-1/ #1 in conference)
the other stats are pretty average right now, but our schedule has been a little tougher. We are poor in blocking shots , just like last year, but the turnover margin is better, and coming around. Our rebounding and shooting efficiency needs to get back to last year's standards, especially 3-point percentage, if we want to compete in the Summit IMO.

psssst... change "Valley" to "Summit" Did you ever think that I might be talking about the Big Sioux Valley? ... I wasn't, though.

The Coyotes will go as far as their defense takes them and their performance on that end of the court is the reason they defeated Creighton and Wichita State and their lack of defense is why they lost to Iowa State. I can live with the offense being a little off from time if they bring their glue on the other end of the court. When the Coyotes won the WNIT they didn't really start that well. About mid season they picked up their D game and barely lost a game the rest of the season. The Coyotes will be fine on offense as they have natural scorers on this team. I like natural talent on the O end and high motivation on the D end. That will allow the Coyotes to have a good year. The Coyotes are playing as well as anyone in the league so far.

Notable Stats update: (hint, it isn't good)
So I'm hoping that our average-looking stats are mainly a product of our front-loaded schedule. This is certainly a different team than last year. I think we are missing Bridget and Abby for rebounding in a big way. McKeever has really improved her game, especially in steals. It will be interesting to see our stats at the beginning of conference play.
Stuff we are good at:
80.3% Free Throws-(#1 Summit, #4 Nation) 9.2 Steals/game-----(#2 Summit, #102 Nation) 43.6% Field Goals---(#3 Summit, #81 Nation)
Stuff we are bad at:
1.6 Blocked Shots/game--(#8 Summit, #327 Nation) 33.2 Rebounds/game------(#8 Summit, #324 Nation) 18.4 Personal Fouls/game (#8 Summit, #217 Nation) 13.4 Assists/game---------(#7 Summit, #183 Nation)
Individual:
Maddie MacKeever is getting almost 3 steals/game! (#2 Summit) Allison Arens is shooting 86.1% Free Throws! (#2 Summit) Jaycee Bradley is shooting 40.0% 3 PT! (#5 Summit)
