Anything within 20 would be very acceptable. Duke will have a huge advantage down low. Like really huge...

The ESPN one looks ridiculous right now to me. It has NDSU at 77, SDSU at 34, Wyoming at 33, Temple at 2, Minnesota at 49, Florida at 91. Lots of ridiculous items - I assume the sample size is too small to make sense?

I'm not sure why there is a discrepancy, but AFAIK this is the more "official" RPI: www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-men/d1/ncaa-mens-basketball-rpiIt hasn't been updated to the 2017-2018 season yet, and I'm pretty sure it is only updated weekly. Unlike the ESPN daily or Realtime sites. It will be interesting to compare once the official one gets its update.

Really, at the end of the day RPI means nothing for Summit League men's teams because the chances of getting an at-large bid is so low. I guess it helps a little with seeding. For the women there have been years where they could have gotten one, so RPI is relevant there IMO.
Win the SLT. That's what matters.
Also, TV time helps recruiting, and money helps the world go round. Thats the huge advantage of a game against Duke.

As long as Trevon Duval is given the ball every possession for Duke, then USD will have a chance. That guy is like the Charlie Conway of basketball break-aways.

Blue Devil here.
Just putting forth some friendly banter. I'll be at the game with my 92 year old rabid Duke fan mom.
Here's what I see in this year's Duke squad:
Tremendous Talent - We have super recruits - 3 freshman rating in the top ten by most recruiting services (Bagley, Carter, Duval), one frosh in the top twenty (Trent) and the reviled but amazing senior Grayson Allen, who can ball at a super high level. We have McDonald's All Americans on the bench.
Not too shabby Coach - nuff said.
Good Offense - We are a juggernaut that can score, especially down low.
Great Rebounding - Bagley is 6'11", Carter is 6'10", Bolden is 6'10", Delaurier is 6'9", Vrankovich is 7'0" and all these guys can feast on the boards. We throw up garbage and they'll put it back in.
Awful, awful Defense - we're super young (4 starting freshman) and haven't figured out how to play collegiate defense. Coach K will probably play M2M the whole game as a learning process, rather than the zone he's used from time to time this season, which is more effective in the short term. You guys will get open threes, back door cuts and open lanes for rebounds if you're patient. Coyotes should have some nice highlights from this game.
Good, not Great Crowd - It's exam prep time on campus, so the Cameron Crazies may not be at full force. Still, they'll be entertaining, if a bit obnoxious.
Devils Play to their Opponent - we have more talent that almost any teams, but we have a tendency to be complacent, slack on dee and not figure out what we have to do to win until the last five minutes.
What should we look for in the Coyote team?

Matt Mooney could start at a lot of ACC teams. He can score from anywhere past half court. NBA range and able to score inside.
Carlton Hurst is a fantastic defender who tends to shut down the other team's best guard. Usually don't play competition near this level though.
Inside presence is improving but has no chance against the heights you listed. We will be dominated on the boards.
I'll be happy with a 20 point loss.

What should we look for in the Coyote team? Pretty much the same. Like McDonald's, tall guys, devils. If we didn't wear red uni's, no one would know which team was which. At least that I what I'm going with for now.

Duke -19.5 tomorrow. I expected higher. I think that is fair. The Coyotes are the defending Summit League Champs which does count for something. Duke has been allowing some teams to play them very close.

Well Duke is as talented as advertised--tall, long, athletic, can shoot the 3 and plays really good D. What a great experience for the Coyotes to play in that setting!!
