Results from Sat Dec 30th
Denver 51 at South Dakota 79 Oral Roberts 82 at Omaha 53 Western Illinois 100 at Fort Wayne 64
Results from Tue Jan 2nd
South Dakota 82 at North Dakota State 67
My take from these results is that the Coyotes are taking care of business so far better than they did in the same games at same locations a year ago. It certainly didn't look like the Yotes were in top form coming in but how can one really ask much more of the Coyotes so far.
I am really surprised how badly Oral Roberts beat Omaha. I thought Omaha was a program on the rise but either they are very over rated in my mind or ORU is going to be a force. How about a little of both.

How about a little of both. I agree. Kind-of puzzling. Ellie Brecht, a Soph guard from SF Lincoln HS had been having a good season with Omaha, and one of the top 3-point shooters in the league. She played 23 minutes and was a non-factor. Didn't even attempt a 3. Maybe she is hobbled. Looks like Oral Roberts won the rebounding and turnover battles by a large margin, too. Ball control will be big when playing them and WIU.

If I remember correctly, Oral Roberts had a whole slew of injuries to some significant players last season. If they're now healthy maybe they're a surprise team in the Summit. Time will tell obviously.

Scores from Saturday:
Denver wins @ Fort Wayne 73-55 SDSU at home beats NDSU 83-63 WIU at home beats ORU 56-49
no upsets, but interesting to see WIU score less than 60 for two consecutive games. ORU looks like a great defensive team this year.

I am kind of glad that WIU held serve at home because if not ORU suddenly looks like a legit title contender.

let's face it. any recruit that is making a choice would choose to play in front of the crowds in brookings. they will be redoing their arena soon so any advantage USD has is gone. The Jacks generally get the better regional athletes.

when I say size of their crowd I mean the size of it on average on a game by game basis. that isn't even taking into account the summit tourney. a jackrabbit athlete has a greater chance of getting to the ncaa tourney and it isn't close. history proves it.

Can bringing up attendance several times per day be considered trolling?
