We beat these guys by 11 the first go around. I think we are playing at a much higher level than we were the first time. Hopefully, there won't be any let down by the men after such a beat down of the bunnies. Confident Coach Smith has the boys ready...
Anyone know where one can find the Altitude 2 channel around here? Anyone know of a watch party somewhere? These programs like Denver are limiting their national exposure by not signing on to broadcast their games on ESPN3.

I was impressed with Denver the first go around. I think the pioneers are as average as average can get. that isn't a horrible thing in a pretty good league. this is a game where if the coyotes play well they should win but even the slightest hangover could produce an upset. I will go coyotes 76-68.

I think you'll be reacquainted with our friend Joe Van Goor. It looks like Altitude is available through Direct TV or Dish in the hills, but doesn't stretch to eastern SD.

Altitude is channel 681 on DirecTV. Would think most bars will have access to it.

maybe I have it backwards this time but the mid level teams are more of a threat on the men's side to knock off a top than on the women's side. Craig Smith may be tested more so as a motivator in this game than most. I will take the coyotes 78-74 but I do this this will be a tough one.

So, to recap the game so far, the Yotes are shooting 25% while DU is shooting 56%, including 7-11 (63%) from three's. No energy from USD, lots of energy from DU. Down 22.

We had a lot more energy the last 5 minutes, cut the lead to 14, but have a ways to go. They lit it up. It's not looking good.

Looks like our stay in first place will be short lived.

Denver plays like they did today they beat anybody in the conference. This would be exhibit A in how much tougher it going to be to win a men's SLT vs the women's. In the men's just about anyone has the potential to take out anyone, while in the women's it's basically a two horse race with ORU and Western able to upset the applecart. That's the way I see things anyway for whatever it's worth which is probably about two cents.

Credit to DU - they played awesome and obviously shot it like crazy. But this was one of the few - if not only - games under Coach Smith where I can remember the other team out hustling, out defending, and out efforting the Yotes. Hopefully it is an aberration, not the start of a trend.

I listened to most of the game. I'd be curious to hear from anyone there was our first half D as bad as it sounded (and our O for that matter) or were they just hot on O and played great D?? Coyotes will come back with a vengeance either way! GO YOTES!!!

We have an interesting dilemma coming up. The Coyotes are now only 1 game ahead of NDSU in the loss column with a game in Fargo coming up next Saturday. That is after a game at Western Illinois on Thursday. On Thursday the Bison play at South Dakota State. Do we route for the Bison or Jacks. If the Bison win they can tie the Coyotes with a win on Saturday and be ahead if the Coyotes slip up in Macomb. The good thing for the Yotes is that the Bison should have a tough game in Brookings but to their advantage the travel will be tougher on the Coyotes. The Jacks nearly blew a 17 point halftime lead to Fort Wayne so it is not a foregone conclusion that they will beat the Bison. The Bison are the one team that can probably match the Coyotes on the D end and we saw how the Jacks performed against the Coyotes D. I think being in Brookings I think the Jacks will probably prevail but the Bison are always a tough game for the Jacks. The Bison are 3-0 in their last 3 games at USD and SDSU.

Coyotes will come back with a vengeance either way! GO YOTES!!! The defense was abysmal and Denver played very good defense and moved the ball very effectively. Simpson got caught on a lot of screens and ball screens.
