After the non-conference I really thought Western Illinois was going to be much improved this year. Instead, they are marching straight towards another 8 seed.

I would be disappointed if the yotes do not win comfortably. Denver beating USD like they did was almost like beating WIU as well because of what it should do to motivate the coyotes. I am taking USD tonight 81-63.

The game is listed to be on ESPN tonight so it looks like it will be double window night with videos of men and women. I feel a Coyote sweep coming on.
Sorry Yotes I didn't post right away about the video feed so didn't see your earlier post.

The Coyotes made this a boring game but the defense was so smothering I will take boring any day. The Yotes just kind of ran away with it towards the end of the first half and the Leathernecks never had a chance after that. Why don't we just play this team in Macomb every year both games because we tend to play better in their gym than we do in Vermillion or Sioux Falls. It seemed like the Coyotes didn't really ramp up their game until about 10:00 in but once they got it going it was like running downhill.
Collectively we are having our way with WIU. After the Women got swept by Western last year the Coyotes are win-win-win-win-win-win-win. To put that into context that is MB-MB-FB-MB-WB-WB-MB. That doesn't even take into account the men's and women's swimming sweep that just happened. With football at home and both basketball teams coming back loaded next year this streak could have a ways to go before it gets swept away.
Now if our men can play better against these guys closer to home that would be great. I think we will take it and run away from Illinois with the win in our pocket. Now it is off to Fargo for a very big game. The Bison got stomped pretty good at Frost tonight so a win over NDSU all but guarantees the Coyotes the #2 seed at worst because the Coyotes would likely own the tie breaker by virtue of a win over SDSU. If the Bison win they win the tie breaker on a head to head sweep and it is a dog fight the rest of the year for the 2 seed. The Bison are also done with the Jacks so that is to their advantage. This is the biggest game of the year and a win makes the path much easier from here on out.

The Coyote D is back as we knew it would be and the O scored plenty of points against an overmatched WIU team. Coyote quality depth is becoming more and more apparent as the season progresses. Some especially nice sub play by Doss and Simpson!
