Fantastic D again Omaha the first half holding them to 24 and their game average is 80. D slipped some in 2nd H as both Os played more wide open but the Yotes get the W. 24-6 sure looks good!! GO YOTES!!!

I thought we somewhat got caught up in playing Omaha's run and gun, push the tempo style of ball a bit too much. My perspective was that they're quick and athletic, but don't really have the one big time scorer or shooter. When we were up by 23 in the second half, it seemed like we'd cruise to a 30 or so point victory, but, then, they started hitting everything they threw up for a few minutes and were able to get it down to 11 for a short time. That's the danger with a team like that. If they happened to have a hot shooting night they could give anyone a run at the SLC, but a person could probably say that about any of the men's teams. Lot of the teams fall into the dangerous category more so than they do for the women's teams.

The Coyotes were really never threatened when it mattered in the game. It is hard to maintain the intensity when you know that you are better than the other team and know that if things got tight enough that you could turn it on. I don't think they can continue with the habit because they will need to be more consistent in Brookings and at the tourney. I am not too worried about today. Tyler P really got a chewing there in the second half when he didn't get back on D.
This is my feeling on Hurst and I could be wrong. Obviously he still has his hand wrapped. It looked more like a wrap then an actual cast but who knows. I don't think he will play in Brookings unless he is really feeling good about the hand. That will give him over a week of additional heeling time and won't give him any chance of having a set back. Even if he isn't quite ready I think he is going to give it a go at the tourney in 2 weeks on Saturday. Unless something is really not right I can't see him letting his last games of eligibility go by the wayside without at least giving it a shot. I think he will be willing to put up with a little pain if he has to. Again Just MO but I think we will see him again. Even if he has minimal touches on offense he can probably get by a little better on D having to put up with it.
