Watching this FSU and Va Tech game. Some serious CrampRabbit stuff going on here by VaTech with the Noles driving on offense. This crap should be called.

The announcers agree.

Yeah thought that was interesting. They noticed it another time too.

The announcer sums it up pretty well: "I'm just saying, ... It's not against the rules... against tempo, but it's unethical." (Was that Herbstreit?)

I think it was Cal during Oregon's first run to the title game that really brought this unethical strategy to my attention. That was several years ago. No one is going to do anything about it. You just have to find a way to overcome it.

You just have to find a way to overcome it. I disagree. If football is all about health and safety of the players as it claims, then a mandatory, call it a "rest period" or what ever you want, should be enforced for those players who suffer from a cramp. Make it however long, 15 minutes, a quarter's worth, of game, or maybe out for the rest of the half. I'm sure a rules committee could come up with something. I would think the potential loss of a player might put something of a damper on this this kind of obvious and pathetic charade.

I'm inclined to agree with you, that a "cramping" player should have to sit out a quarter. My guess would be that the coaches would riot at the proposition. Also, I doubt the NCAA will care until the SEC gets some no-huddle offenses anyways.
