Yesterday was the opening for Men's Basketball non-conference games. Here are the results:
SDSU beats GCU at home 79-74 PFW loses @ #21 UCLA 71-96 WIU loses @ Creighton 67-78 Omaha loses @ Minnesota 76-104
NDSU loses @ NMSU 73-56 ORU loses @ Missouri State 50-84
Denver beats Maine at home 62-50 UND beats Northland(NAIA) at home 104-48
SDSU and PFW stand out to me as a quality win and quality loss. The Lopes game was no guarantee win, and the UCLA final score could have been worse.

Yeah, I was getting my scores from the Summit website, and the WIU score didn't appear, presumably because it was a later game, and they don't update the site very well. Sorry about that! I'll look it up and add it.

If your men’s team would have knocked off SDSU in the first round of the Summit League tournament last year we would be more likely to remember you. That would have been nice...

I haven't kept up with these scores, but there are a couple of high-profile Summit opponents in tonight's games:
7 PM Omaha plays @ Iowa State (-19.0) 8 PM NDSU plays @ Gonzaga (-26.5)

The CBS basketball website includes a Conference RPI page. The Summit League as a whole is having an abysmal non-conference season so far and is currently 28th of 32 conferences.

That's better than "pretty good". These Hitler rant parodies have been around for a while. There are a bunch of them on youtube and they're all funny to fall on the floor laughing.

Scores from the first weekend of Summit MBB conference play:
SDSU beats WIU -100-58 Omaha beats Den -91-84 PFW beats UND ---84-73 NDSU beats USD --71-65 WIU beats Denver 78-60 ORU beats Omaha -87-84 PFW beats NDSU --90-87
I guess the thing that stands out to me is all the 80's and 90's scores. We might still have the best defense in the league, but at some point we will need to put the ball in the basket to keep up with these offenses.

The struggles of being a WIU fan get absolutely destroyed by SDSU in the 1st game of a Double header then go out and look like a whole different team against Denver not that Denver is very good.

I think fans of a lot of the Summit teams are in for a roller coaster ride this season. Really going to be hard to predict any game with too much certainty.
