The Creighton Bluejays are ranked in the top ten in the country and will be hosting the Coyotes Friday night at 6pm. The volleyball world gives USD less than a 2% chance for the win. I have watched Creighton and they are good, and deserve their ranking. But we bring a team to Omaha that plays unbelievable defense, and if by chance our gals play with “their hair on fire” and not be nervous, and serve tough as nails, we have a punchers chance of pulling this off. Our gals, along with Denver, are awfully good. I’m hoping the crowd noise is something they mentally can block out.
We play at our best and they don’t, don’t be shocked if we get them. This is another great opportunity.
WHAT A WEEK TO SHOWCASE OUR WOMENS PROGRAMS

Ten bucks says there will be Omaha metro area recruits in the stands as well.... Just a figure of speech, yotes. I’m not proposing an actual bet. Sheesh! Some degenerate gamblers...

Don’t offer that to Yotes. He’s on a gambling binge now

I lost everything at the track already anyways. Wish I could say it was the horse track, or even the dog track...

What track? Maybe short for track and field. I'd say bet on that pole vaulter guy from USD.

Down 2-0. Huge difference in talent and that’s no slight on our gals. There’s a reason Creighton is ranked in top 10. They serve so tough

Lost 3rd set 25-22. Played a little more like I thought we might. Great experience.
Thank you ladies for a great year. Coach W you’re a class act

The recruiting class she just signed includes a couple of 6’-2” middle blockers from Iowa, and two 6’+ hitters. Success begets success...

This team far outpaced everyone's expectations coming in to the season. From here forward they need to think 'better seed' and start the season expecting be in the tourney. It would be great SL could regularly get 2 teams in, but it will be tough since the middle and bottom thirds are really pretty bad. Which begs a question: the SL tourney will be in the SCSC next year, right? Can't remember if it is the regular season or tourney champ that hosts the following year.

I think, but not 100% sure is it’s the regular season champ which means it will be in Denver. As much as I would love to host it, to me it makes sense to put a reward to the regular season champ. Puts value to winning the league over the long haul.

Denver won this past regular season, so next year's SL tournament will be in Denver again.
