This will probably surprise everyone, but the Yotes had a pretty ugly end to the game. Got to hand it to the team though - they were right there with the #1 team through 3/4 of the game. Great effort and showing tonight (except for the end, again).

Well that deteriorated quickly at the end. I would imagine the result of playing a deep and extremely talented team and countering with a very young and inexperienced bench. Starters just ran out of gas. I will also give credit when due though. 'Yotes played hard and hung tough for a long time. Enough to get them whining and complaining on their message board anyway. Really need Jech to get in shape and a few of the freshmen to develop and contribute.

It's a shame they let umude waste what could have been a redshirt year last year for literally a few minutes of action. Could really develop into so,etching very special over the next cople years.

Kansas announcers were hoping to get a lot of bench play the 2nd half. Well that didn't happen. KU had to play starters/main subs until about 1 minute left (which was overkill). They were obviously not happy with the first 45 minutes of the game even driving to the basket with 19 seconds left. Too bad Moore got hot from the arc which didn't help. Coyotes gave them more than they were expecting!! Great individual effort by Stanley!! As the bench develops the Yotes will become more and more dangerous to tougher teams! GO YOTES!!!

Stanley was tough around the rim against the Jayhawk bigs. We will need that post presence in League play. Here's a clip that exemplifies his effort in this game:

I was also impressed with Kelly's rebounding in this game. There were times where you couldn't even see him "among the trees" and yet he somehow came out of the scrum with the ball. Just a quick, tough little dude. Like McKeever on the women's team. A "bulldog" type player.
Definitely deserving of a nickname: "Cowboy Cody" "Cowboy Kelly" "Wyoming Bulldog" (like the drink...)
I don't know. None of those just roll off the tongue. Coach Lee likes to use nicknames, but he goes to the initials. He calls Peterson "J.P." for example. Maybe "C.K."?
... I got nothing. These guys are definitely fun to watch, though.

They are really good, but too sweet for all-evening drinking. More of a desert drink. I guess we have "South Dakota martinis" and "South Dakota bloody marys" (both beer-based) so maybe someone has already created the "Wyoming Bulldog"?

Try substituting Bourbon for the Vodka, and report back the results...
*edit* Looks like a "Sneaky Pete" is similar...

Man I hate to be a wet blanket, but I don't know if I would really say we gave them more than they were expecting. We were 22.5 pt underdogs and we loss by 36. Judging by that I would have to say we gave them a lot less than they were expecting. Thank goodness Umude had a career night offensively, or it could have gotten ugly much faster. Does anyone know why Armstrong hasn't been playing hardly at all? He's one of the only true offensive weapons we have, I don't understand why he can't see any time.

Maybe I'm showing my age, this isn't even a remotely cool reference and no one knows what the hell I'm talking about.

I wouldn't say it's not cool, though. Usually name-dropping some obscure band nobody's heard of can make you more cool, right?
