Good day for the Jacks to pick up Noah Friedel. Also their two juco transfers were named NJCAA all Americans today and one selected as juco player of the year. And Jenkins Jr. says he is still considering returning to SDSU. But he is getting lots of interest elsewhere so I am guessing he will pull a pull a Mooney.. I didn't realize Jenkins was grad transferring, that's impressive.

I sure hope the SDSU fans who are not happy Jenkins is leaving also feel bad/guilt for stealing Friedel from another school while under LOI. What do you think the chances of that are?

So has anyone else heard that we have a stud transferring out? If the news I heard is true, that sucks.

He was at the Calling All Coyotes event... Seemed to be having a good time with his teammates there.

Unfortunately I'm not. He's gone. That's basically the worst news we could have gotten today.

Seeing the level of interest Jenkins was receiving probably did not help. Argus article said he had already heard from Texas, Arizona and Cal.

Interesting decision. Smith and him basically gave away his freshman year because he didn't want to sit and redshirt. Has a strong effort in his first real year of playing here but won't be a grad transfer so now will have to sit out a year anywhere he goes which he couldn't accept before. Best of luck to him wherever he lands. Maybe he was worried about getting Daumed and losing to an 8 seed the next two years. Couldn't help but take a fun little shot at the bunnies.

Ouch...that really sucks. Not sure what else to say. Again, we are left plugging a huge hole. A healthy Hags will help, but man we would have had a strong core on offense with Simpson, Umude, Hags.

This stuff is getting ridiculous. Have some early success and you're gone. Mid majors are going to be nothing more than farm teams for the big boys anymore.

Transfers are killing college basketball. Thing is, we're guilty of it too. We just took a player from Kearney, so I guess that is karma coming back to bite us in the a$$. You know, he could have put in to the portal a little sooner and we might have been able to pick up the Freidel kid. We didn't get him because we had no scholarships available. Well, now there is one available.
