May as well start the thread. Dude is a straight stud. Smart player in the tournament, he will have a career in Europe at least IMO.

Mooney news. As a Wolves fan, I agree with the KSTP guy (disappointed in the Culver pick - felt he has the 2nd best player on the floor for TTech many nights).

Mooney coming to Sioux Falls to play the Skyforce and connecting it with a charitable event.

Mooney getting a 10-day contract. I don't really follow NBA signings, but it seems odd that he can sign a 10-day with a different team.

Looks like he just signed a two-way contract with the Cavs. That is big-time. More money for Mooney, and he will play for the Cavs part-time (and part-time with the Cavs' G-league team.) This is the same kind of contract that John Konchar got with Memphis. This is the payoff for taking less money than he could have made in Europe, all to increase his exposure and odds of getting "called up". Sacrifice pays off. Congrats to him. As a side-note, Daum had offers to play on a G-league team, but decided to play in Europe. He could still get called up to the NBA from there, but the odds are less. He got a bigger salary, though. Not to bag on him at all. I just find it interesting the divergent paths those two have chosen to follow.

One was educated at USD. One wasn’t. Well said! Not everyone may know this, but Matt has an entrepreneurial side to him, which makes it even more impressive that he is demonstrating the wisdom that not every path to wealth is a quick one! Hopefully he makes this opportunity count!

...so Texas Tech is taking all the credit? I don't see anything wrong with the tweet. Just celebrating an alumnus's success. Our team's Twitter account could have done the same thing, but didn't. I just posted it here because it had the video clip.
