The refs in Hawaii have a bad reputation for being homers. Lots of opposing coaches have left the island with Technicals... jus' sayin'

I saw a tweet that Concordia St Paul also is coming to Vermillion. I love seeing Jory James returning to town.

Seems like a weaker schedule than last year. Other than fan interest, that's actually not a terrible strategy for a men's mid-major in a one-bid league. The Summit has a long way to go on the men's side to get two bids. It's much harder to get marquis home games, too. With the SOS-heavy RPI having been replaced on the Men's side with a better metric, scheduling for wins rather than strength might make more sense. Hopefully we are scheduling with an eye to development.
Last year the Jacks had the worst(weakest) schedule in the conference, and they ended up with the best ranking going into the SLT. I think that building teams that win in the SLT is far more important than your national ranking in MBB. Lee has a defensive philosophy, and that was an identity for Craig before him, as well. I like that for game-to-game consistency. An off-shooting night can kill you in a single-elimination tournament if you have no defense. It would be nice to score a bit more than last year's team, though.

Less than 2 months until the season starts out in Hawaii. Have to think the Yotes will be back on top of the conference. Can't come soon enough.
