Was the thread pulled? If it was removed maybe it was because Mr GAM told us all we should be living in Valley City, ND or else we will be shot.

Moved this thread to this board because it is not about Coyote football so this is the more appropriate spot. So the experts in Vegas agreed with me on the 2 TD spread. Unlike the GAM, Vegas is straight up business where fortunes are won or lost. I'd trust the Vegas experts to be more accurate than somebody's computer model. notsoeasy = Aldewitt. You are just upset that I called you out on some of the crap you were spewing on the UND board and you got outed as having multiple handles across multiple boards. I'm sure if I could find the board your quote was posted to I would discover it was you who posted it. You run multiple handles across multiple boards then quote yourself as some sort of "proof" or support for your argument. Not cool. Actually, very sad. Oh, and you didn't try too hard to look for that thread because it is right here. usdcoyotesports.proboards.com/thread/2553/sneak-peak-2019-opinion?page=5We don't delete stuff around here unless it is spam or really, really bad and inappropriate.

I see there’s a female official tonight in the Jacks game. Then it dawned on me why...when the Jacks start cramping she’ll have Midol. Makes sense

Things could certainly change, but to this point the Gophers should feel very fortunate to have the lead.

Jacks are the better team right now. Confidence is growing.

Why? They lost. Not much different than when we played K-State last year. Had the win in hand but didn't close. State didn't close the deal.
NDSU closes the deal. That's the difference between us, State, and the Bison.
My takeaway is that the Gophers are a bad football team. All these people picking them to contend for the Big Ten West, no way. They play like that and Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Purdue, and Northwestern will blow them out.
First game. Long season.
SDSU played a good game and I give them a lot of credit. They will be a tough one to beat this year.

Yes they lost. I get it. But if you’re objective SDSU outplayed them but made mistakes teams like that make down the stretch because the choke collar goes on em. Last year at Kansas State we had a shot but statistically we weren’t the better team. SDSU had better stats tonight.
When I posted, if you read it, I said “right now”. The second half they were the better team..by far. I do agree with you that Minnesota sucks. They’re awful. PJ is to strange for my taste. Master showman but not a lot of substance.
I’ll say this. If SDSU played them 10 times they’d win 3-4. Honestly, I believe we’d beat them again. The gap between good FCS and FBS football has narrowed.
In closing, my takeaway is SDSU’s running game is damn good. Passing...not so much. Gonna be a head knocker in Vermillion

I think we're on the same page. My post was more about closing out games. We didn't do that last year against K-State and SDSU didn't do it this year.
Fleck is Brewster 2.0. All talk and no deliver. I thought they turned the corner last year after beating Wisconsin and winning their bowl game. I now have serious doubts. They looked bad.

Oof. SDSU looked like the better team. They really won the battle in the trenches on both sides for the most part. Granted it is one game, but I think SDSU will be better than I originally thought, especially by year end if Gibbs stays healthy. Although Gibbs is at times inaccurate, SDSU is going to pile up a ton of rushing yards this year with their stable of backs and a good zone read game. Will make Gibbs reads that much easier in the passing game. He is still pretty raw though- and the commentators mentioned this as well- but he does not go through a progression at all right now. locks in on a receiver pre snap almost every drop back.

I didn't watch, but I thought it would be in the range of a 10 point or less game with a descent chance for an upset. Goofers always seem to shit the bed when any team in any sport from any school from South Dakota shows up in Minneapolis. The bunnies will be good this season. Based on history NDSU still gets my vote as top dog although that's completely based on the past...the old "until someone knocks them off the throne" syndrome. Those two are probably 1a and 1b for now. Overall, I'm still worried about the MVFC cannibalizing itself once league play starts and, like last season, getting fewer teams in the playoffs than they deserve.

The top and middle portion of the Valley may cannibalize each other, but based on last nights results with Southern Ill, Western Ill & Missouri State all getting beat by run of the mill FCS teams, the bottom portion of the Valley isn't very good.

FWIW SEMO is ranked something like 13th, so the SIU loss wasn’t terrible considering it was on the road. Mizz st losing on the road wasn’t terrible either. WIU wasn’t a great result.

Well, I guess I will speak for the Gopher fans... - The reason for optimism going into this year was that 3 very good running backs were returning, and the O-Line was mostly intact. 1 back isn't cleared yet, 1 back is clearly not to form just yet (and may never be back to form). I'll give the Gophers a pass there - those three guys are supposed to win games, not the QB. But the OL looked like the same OL from early last year, not the late season OL. The LT was ridiculous, and I rarely notice OL play. - SDSU clearly confused/surprised on both O and D with the various shifts & movement. The Gophers never figured it out or recovered, and that is exactly what makes the first game of a season dangerous (for anyone). Fleck had mentioned they were preparing for ghosts due to the new coordinators and QB. I don't know who SDSU plays next, but they will not be surprised by any of it. Why the Gophers couldn't adjust is a mystery and is concerning. - When the Gophers played well at the end of last year (the reason for optimism this year), they just ran and ran. It was very frustrating to watch them throwing on 1st down so much. - Give SDSU credit - I thought they played very well. They were obviously 'up' for this game, and largely played flawless/over achieving FB (freshman QB made some freshman QB mistakes, but on the whole did OK). Can't say the same for UofM. Looked disinterested and surprised there was a game. I don't know what - if anything - it says about either team's remainder of the season though. But, overreactions to week 1 games is an important part of fandom.

It was crazy how many times the Gophers ran the ball straight up the middle into 2 defenders without running any sort of variation off of it. The one time the QB kept it he ran for a first down.
