SDSU fans - you really are not getting hosed by the officials on every pass/dribble on every possession. Calm down. I just watched a recording of the game as I was unable to watch it live. You guys are getting it all wrong. They are not "booing", they are "mooing"! Just walk around their campus and you'll hear a lot of it.

Earning Regular Season championships seems to now be a regular and expected thing for the Yotes. I mean, we HAVE won four of the last six...
2015 USD 2016 USD 2017 WIU 2018 USD 2019 SDSU 2020 USD
Of course, this is still bittersweet, as our only Summit Tournament Championship came in 2014. Time for a change. This team is built for greatness. Stay tuned.

Good win. Obviously. I do wonder a bit about why Sjerven’s touches/minutes seem to be trending downward. Looking at everything through a peak horsepower/tournament run lens, I want her fully engaged, Duffy confident as hell, looking to stretch defenses with the 3 and beating them off the bounce, and Lamb feeling exactly like she does in Frost. We kind of got one of those three yesterday, although I did like Duffy pulling early Saturday just to put that in the defense’s mind and create a little extra space. No knock on Frederick, but I want her doing her thing over 10-15 minutes a game. This team needs Sjerven playing the 25 minute-plus role. Sometimes Frederick really provides a spark or tires out the other team's post players, but I'm with you - seemed like Sjerven was less involved in the game plan yesterday. Could’ve been State wanted to force us to shoot jump shots. Not a bad strategy, especially if you meet in the last day of a tournament.

Last reply and then I will drop it (since it is all nitpicking when you are 26-2). I agree that SDSU wanted to force jump shots. My concern is that we just appeared to say "OK" rather than really focusing on getting Sjerven more involved. Does that make sense?
Every year I get frustrated that the Yotes don't seem to adjust to post-season play and officiating, whereas AJ is really good at it. I noticed this game was called like a tourney game, and felt that with the exception of rebounding, the posts adjusted on D to how it was being called. Our guards, however, didn't. RCJ was very handsy swiping at the ball, and when it didn't get called early, she became more and more aggressive with it. Our guards didn't seem to match it, even though we have better/quicker/stronger guards.
Rant done.

Remember the defense we played back in the 2017-18 season, with Junkyard Jas? That was an undersized, Scrappy bunch. They always pushed the boundaries of what the refs were going to allow in terms of aggressiveness. I think that's what you're talking about, right?
