Appendix maybe? Probably a better time for it to happen than mid season, whatever it is.
It’s tough for us to have AJ on the bench, too. Looks like he is making the most of it, and getting some coaching experience.

I've got to ask - what is going on with UNO? 0-11 against D1 teams. NET ranking of 351 (!!). Just lost at home to UST (thought did make the final score respectful). Everything about them on paper is awful: www.warrennolan.com/basketball/2022/schedule/Omaha

I see Paul Bruns had 27 points and 11 rebounds tonight for und. Paul is from our backyard in Dakota valley. Did we even offer him?

As of today:
1 Oral Roberts 5-1
1 South Dakota State 4-0
3 North Dakota State 3-1
4 UMKC 2-1
5 Saint Thomas 2-2
6 Denver 2-3
7 Omaha 2-4
7 Western Illinois 1-3
7 South Dakota 1-3
10 North Dakota 0-4
Given the slow start for the Yotes, it feels like SLT is months away, but ORU is nearly halfway through their schedule. The mess that is #5-#9 won't get any clearer this week, as the top 4 are largely playing the bottom half, and I don't expect many upsets. SDSU's offense has been on fire, but it sure feels like their style of play makes it hard to play/beat the same team 3 times in a season (especially if they face defense-first teams like NDSU, UMKC, and/or USD). SLT seems pretty open to 5 or 6 teams at this point. Hoping the Yotes can be one of them by March.

Oral Roberts is pretty much the same and I think the bunnies have a few more weapons at their disposal. If Abmas has an off night ORU is cooked. UMKC is totally dependent on the officiating. Given their ridiculously physical style of play, if it's called tightly, they're in trouble, but if it turns into a brawl, they can beat anyone. Officials are usually a bit more hesitant to blow the whistle once the tournament starts which might make the 'Roos a dangerous team in the SLT. Is St Thomas even eligible for the tournament these first five years, or did they get an exemption for that too?

I think St. Thomas is eligible for the Summit League tournament, but not for the NCAA tournament.

I think St. Thomas is eligible for the Summit League tournament, but not for the NCAA tournament. In that case I don't see why the league would even let them participate in the SLT. If St Thomas would happen to win it and be ineligible for the NCAAs, the Summit might be in danger of not having any representation unless there's some caveat that states that the runner up would be the automatic qualifier.

Per this Star Tribune article, St Thomas isn't eligible for any Summit League post season tournaments where the winner receives an automatic bid to the NCAA postseason tournament until they have completed their 5 year transition period. This includes men's and women's basketball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, baseball and softball.

I think the Horizon League did this with Northern Kentucky when they transitioned. NKU won the conference tournament, and the loser of the title game got the autobid. Didn't have anything to play for anyways. I'm glad the Summit did not open that door for St Thomas. Edit: It was the Atlantic Sun in 2016. Allowed a team banned from postseason play to participate. Said team lost the final in OT, but had they won would have caused something confusing.
