The 2015 Coyote team, which was just an average team finishing 5-6, went into Fargo and beat the Bison when they were in peak Bison mode running off a string of NCs.
If that can happen, anything can happen.

Bet your house on it. No way we stay within 17 pts. What’s your rationale? I think this could end up being a low scoring defensive slugfest. If we make a few of the changes to our offense that I hope we make, we could keep it pretty interesting. I feel our defense is solid enough to keep us in any game this season.

Reddit FCS has us at +16.5 Bet your house on it. No way we stay within 17 pts. Well, I’m not betting my house on it but feel encouraged that last year we were ahead at halftime and this year we played a half with a pretty good SEC team. I think we are better than last year. I could be wrong but 17 points is a little high in my opinion.

I think we are better than last year, but I wouldn't bet on covering against the bison. They are good enough to score at will against anybody in the FCS. If our offense goes three and out a couple times in a row, it might get ugly. Keep the defense off the field.
Also, lakesbison is trolling the board by not coming here and trolling the board lol.

What does everyone see as our keys to winning tomorrow? I think we need to create havoc and turnovers on defense and get the ball to our playmakers in space in offense to sustain drives. Might even need to roll the dice on 4th down a few times.

Shorten the game and keep our offense on the field as much as possible.

I think we need to take some shots down field with Bell and Martens … if NDSU has any inexperience on defense its the secondary…. They are talented but maybe Davis can stretch the field a few times to keep them honest. Give Bouman time to throw and make sound decisions. Defensively, stop the run and qb run…. Make him throw it. Clean game no penalties.

Commit to stopping the run and forcing their QB to win by throwing the ball. Get the heck off the field when we do get them in 3rd and Medium & Long. Our DL and LBs MUST play well to have a chance. May have to go against the grain with front and coverage calls that put our DBs in man coverage. Most important, create a few turnovers to limit their possessions.
Offensively, be creative with formations and the variety of ways to attack them. If there is one thing true about NDSU, they are who they are and they do what they do no matter who they face. Running the ball will be extremely difficult especially without a running QB, but formations give them issues because they just adjust the sideline call to the formation and sometimes they will lose gap responsibility. And I agree, get the ball to Bell and Martens down the field because NDSU protects the heck out of the middle of the field and short game with their coverages. Not going to able to do it all day, but the opportunities will be there. Their one safety is NOT GOOD so take advantage of it in spots.
I like our DC and OC a lot so I'm quite confident they will have a great game plan for both sides and then it's up to executing it in real time. Go Yotes!

Need OC JD to take on the SDSU approach to facing NDSU. Long sustained drives that eat up the clock and keep it close for a punch out in the 4th.

Wish we had pushed on that last possession in the 1st half. Not sure why we held when everything has worked today. Definitely stunned to see a 21-3 lead at half though.
