The gap was also there in the other direction when USD was making deep playoff runs and playing for national championships as well. It's still inconceivable that SDSU does not have a playoff win in their history. That is unbelievable! No Jacks fan should ever talk smack with that type of record of success.

I just saw the picture on the Argus. Wow, I didn't know Hannibal Lecter was a State grad.
Seriously, a noose around the neck of a Coyote hung up on a bill-board along I-29? I have hunted my whole life and shot plenty of coyotes, but that's sick even in the eyes of my State buddies.
Stay classy Brookings...and get whoever did this some serious counseling and a copy of the DSM-IV.

Well that blows the entire theory laid out by our esteemed brethren up north. They proposed the current student population at state could care less about an old rivalry and more concerned with the current pat on the back tea and crumpets rivalry with ndsu.

I will also add that any State fan that has been disgusted at the past rivalry games including dead animals being thrown onto the court, well hopefully you aren't laughing at this either. You have to take your pick. You either are against both or not. Just be consistant with your ideals.

Do we even know if its a real coyote? Im an animal lover so i think its disgusting if its real. Same with throwing rabbits on the bb court.

Since this is not in the smack section, I'll comment carefully.
I believe this act is not representative of the majority of Jackrabbit fans - who will be as disgusted as we are, and wish to have a robust, sportsmanlike rivalry.
I also do not buy into the assertion of a few on the bunny board that this was an inside job by USD to make them look bad.

Didn't realize Oliver Stone was a Jack fan until I read some recent comments over there. This has turned into a JFK like conspiracy for some of them. Really, USD marketing officials would do this just to keep the interest sparked? Wow.
