ISU RED was not a good program until three years ago, when they hired a long time Purdue Assistant, and he brought aout 13 FBS transfers and it was a different program. Leggett, I believe was a starter or near a starter for Michigan State. Six of the transfers are starters so USD had their hands full out of the gate. I think USD will recover. Looks like a winning season at least. I wish I could say the same for SDSU.

Thoughts.
A disappointing showing in Normal to say the least. I've read all that has been debated back and forth here so will just add a few things.
Yes, an 8 hour bus trip will affect the players ability to play at peak performance, been through it many times myself so I have a good idea what these guys go through. That being said, that's life, get used to it. If you want to be a great team you have to win on the road. I'm sure the players are disappointed in their performance, probably more than we are.
The trend of continued road losses. A lot of that 2-14 record was made up when we were in our early years of transition and going on the road outmanned, so the numbers aren't as bad as what they indicate. But again, looking at last year and this year, there is something to it that we have to address. We cannot keep losing on the road like this.
I said from the outset this was a trap game. On the road in between two conference games and we played ISU RED in their homecoming so they had extra special motivation coming into the game.
Finally, while I like the discussion back and forth I hope this board doesn't turn back into what it was last year. We're all free to make our thoughts known but I think we can do just that, make a statement and move on. No reason to beat a topic or another poster into submission.
I can guarantee the Coyotes have moved on and are looking to the next game with UC-Davis. A lot on the line to end the season, win out and we win the conference and are most likely ranked. I suggest we start looking to the next game as well.

Well said Yote 53.
We can still win the Great West & we can still finish in the top 25. Now on to UC Davis for both the team and the fans. The Dome atmosphere for both the EWU & SUU games has been great. Let's not the loss tone down the excitement for Coyote football. Get to the Dome this Saturday, bring someone that hasn't been to the Dome in a couple of years and lets keep the Dome field advantage.
