From what I have heard, yes, it will be field turf. There is some second generation stuff that can be rolled up.

I'm surprised we haven't heard more on this?
All current and future players along with recruits should be extremely excited about this.

One of the first, if not the first, facilities to get the field turf that can be rolled up was UNI. I am thinking our game against the Panthers in 2009 was their first game on the new Mondo turf.

The field turf thing has been common knowledge for about a year. You know us Coyote fans, we get so excited about things. If NDSU got new field turf in their Shed they would have 6 pages on Bisonville about it. USD fans, we just say "cool" and go on about our day.
New turf should be sweet. I'm sure they've used it for recruiting.

And if SDSU was getting new turf, the Argus Leader would have a series of articles about the new turf (including that it will be the pride of the whole state) and would have a live cam for the installation from start to finish.

I wouldn't know, goyotes. I stopped going to the Argus site since they started charging for online access. Oh, I know there are ways around their settings to get into the site, but it's not worth it since they cover SDSU and really don't do much to cover the Yotes. Not to mention I'm sure the SDSU tourney coverage has been nauseating. Them making the tourney has pretty much destroyed it for me this year. I've found myself avoiding any coverage. I've turned into a huge Baylor bear fan as well.

That turf looks very nice. Much better than the pinwheel stuff you have now.

New turf will be in for next season - have the money in place. Red end zones and sidelines. Green traditional playing field.

Any logo in the middle of the field? My preference would be the Paw with SD inside it. ( Like Yote 53's avatar). Also what sort of markings in the end zone?

Is it going to be of the field turf type but can be rolled up like UNI? I know this has been hashed out but I just wanted to be sure.

There is going to be a logo in the middle and also letters of some sort in the endzones (South Dakota or Coyotes - not sure). Sayler didn't say what the logo would be, but if I had to guess, I would say it will be the traditional (new) SD logo, without the paw. That is pure conjecture, but I think that is where the school is looking to go.
