Had the cumulative GPA been properly weighted, USD would have won the Cup this year, as it would take at least a 3.5 GPA at State College to be comparable to the difficulty of obtaining a 3.0 at the University. Old axiom that if the top student at SDSU were to transfer to USD, it would lower the average GPA at both institutions.

That's the difference between Yote fans and Jack fans. Yotes measure success by how they do against SDSU. Jacks look at conference standings,NCAA tournament appearances,etc.... You yotes need to get over your obsession with all things SDSU and think bigger.Won't happen but at least try. You are so full of yourself. You all play this card that the USD/SDSU games are just another game on the schedule. That is total bullshit, and you know it. I can tell you for certain, if either USD or SDSU was going to win one game in any given sport in which they compete in, I damn well guaranty you would pick USD. We love beating the Jacks. We also love beating the Bison, and any other team we play, but oh hell yes, we want to beat your ass even if it is in tiddlywinks. If you don't feel the same, then you have no fricking clue how rivalries work, or what they even are. So many of the Jacks fans are lame, and keep spewing crap like this, or the other argument I love so much is...." We went D-1 first". Good for frickin you. Like goyotes said, if you only beat us by one point in this series, you damned well better be looking in the rear view mirror as we pass you up. Where did i say i don't love beating the yotes? I said we don't measure success by head to head match ups against USD. You do because that's all you have going for you and your general obsession with big brother. I could give two bits of shit about this contrived corn contest.

What's funny is that SDSU says USD doesn't matter for how long and has said that USD isn't on the same playing stage as SDSU. While USD didn't win the cup, they only lost by a game or a point or whatever it is. So apparently SDSU isn't running away with athletics as much as they would like to believe. Plus what happens after they lose the second best SD native in the NBA draft? Yes, I would draft Colton Iverson over Nate Wolters any day in the upcoming draft.[/q Most everything i have read has Wolters going late first round, early second round, before Iverson. But Wolters isnt even a SD native, he's from Minnesota. First round of the NBADL draft? Wolters just isn't an NBA guard I feel. No defense, can shoot the three but isn't an NBA point guard and can't match the defenders quickness at the 2 so he can't drive in like he did in college. He's smart, but he really reminds me of a very poor man's Luke Ridnour. He isn't an SD native? I thought there was a proclamation in Brookings this year to make him an SD native? Weird. Also, like SD4Life said, yeah, it's 14-13, so the gap isn't as big as you think. 14-13 isn't running away with it like you Bunnies would like to think it is. Figured you all knew math since the engineering school was there, but guess calc isn't a requirement there anymore. http://instagram.com/p/bG9FjPDdSI

If it was meant to be smack, then put it there. However, I give kudos to Nate on a great career at SDSU and wish him the best in the NBA. So Jackl, what was the point of posting it here?

jackl, I see Nate's got some new threads, lot better than the stuff he's been wearing last 4 years.
No disrespect to Nate, wish him the best in the NBA. Other than the uniform, he was a pleasure to watch in Summit League action and I will be just as excited to see him in the big show!

Huh, so the Yotes have a national title in D-I and SDSU doesn't......measure that.

At least he wasn't drafted by the Bobcats. I don't know why the 76ers traded him, thought he could play good minutes with them. I think Milwaukee is an awful spot for him ... because it's Milwaukee. Hopefully he can get out of there. Also, congrats to Iverson for getting drafted as well. A REAL South Dakotan who we ALL can root for. Looking forward to seeing what he can do in the NBA.

Some good things about the SDSU kid: 1) he didn't play just one or two years in college and then get drafted; and 2) he isn't covered with tatoos - at least yet. I kind of hope he does well playing professional basketball because, well the only thing he has to fall back on is a degree from State.
Congrats to the Iverson kid as well. I'm just glad he didn't play for that school up in Fargo. Fargo, home of artic blasts in the winter, sandbags in the spring and mosquitos in summer (falls are tolerable). Whadda place!!
I was going to delete this somewhat juvenile, knee-jerk smack but decided I needed to tick somebody off today. Just feeling a little grumpy I guess....

Many State College fans proclaiming this past season the most successful year Bunny history. All this and they only beat the Yotes, in USD's first season of full D1 eligibility, by 1 point in the Corn Cup standings. Hopefully SDSU doesn't waste too much money in building a display case for the traveling trophy as its stay in Brookings will be short. That is because USD doesn't have some sports that SDSU excelled in. SDSU went to the National Tournament in baseball and Equestrian. SDSU's wrestling program struggled some this year but they are getting better, too. As far as football getting 2 points for one game, you could look at it as 2 points for 1 sport. There are some other sports that you get 2 points for. Those sports include volleyball, MBB, WBB and track. I know that there is outdoor and indoor track but it's still track with most of the same events and athletes. You could argue that the other sports only get 1 point with those sports get 2 so that's not fair. How about cross country? Those runners are only a small part of the track team but are they the most valuable players in this series? They could be a part of getting 3 points for their school. I know I responded to smack but I thought that I should respond.

Serious question but I'll put it in smack because I'm sure I'll get smacked alongside the head for writing this. It seems most universities have a dedicated TV program. KELO TV tonight (7/16) announced the SDSU Jackrabbit Insider program will now air on KELO in High Def, every Sunday night for 52 weeks starting Sept 1. (In the past few years, the Jackrabbit Insider was on KDLT.) I watch the SDSU show. I also tend to catch the Augustana program (but I can't recall when Augie's program airs or the channel it's on...think it is on Midco). Here's my question: I do not recall seeing a program on USD sports other than the one generated by MidcoSports (which I watch). Does USD have a separate program it produces? If so, what channel and what day of the week? Here's a link to KELO's announcement: www.keloland.com/newsdetail.cfm/jackrabbit-insider-coming-to-keloland-tv/?id=150767
