Just one question, is ISUr field natural grass or field turf? based on the fact they had heavy equipment cleaning the snow off two years ago. I would say turf

I disagree. I think it’s exactly the right time. We have a championship caliber team. We need the fans to do their job Given the crappy weather, the competition, and the idiot love fest going on in Brookings this weekend, I was very pleased with the turnout this weekend. It would have been pretty easy for people to stay home yesterday. Until we are fielding a championship quality team year in and year out consistently, I will be happy with a 3/4 full dome for a non-rivalry game against a team that we are heavily favored against. I guess there are two types of fan support. The first is to get people to show up. That is what you are talking about. This is important for generating revenue and getting people interested. The second type of fan support is actually chearing/getting loud. That is what I’m talking about. I maintain just being there as a fan dosnt make it more difficult for the opponent to operate on offense being there AND being loud does. For this reason we do not take full advantage of playing at home

butts in seats dosnt make it more difficult for the opponent to run their plays. I would take 4000 noisy fans over 10000 fans who make no noise when the opponent has the ball Considering how poor attendance has been in the past, I am happy to have people there. It's not the time to criticize the fan base. I disagree. I think it’s exactly the right time. We have a championship caliber team. We need the fans to do their job

I was pleasantly surprised by the crowd. The only noticeable empty spots were the bleachers way in the top corners, and the student section was decently full at kickoff. Stated attendance was 8.390. I'll take a 84% capacity crowd against a winless team any day. butts in seats dosnt make it more difficult for the opponent to run their plays. I would take 4000 noisy fans over 10000 fans who make no noise when the opponent has the ball

I realize the fan base is just learning how to act when trying to give the team a home field advantage. We are not there. Not close. Just standing up on third down only blocks the view of the people behind you. Yes we should stand but stand and make noise The Gold standard is NDSU. They make noise And alot of it the entire time the visitors have the ball. It’s so loud the visiting team has To go silent count the entire game. When we get to this level. The dome will then become sacred ground as the coach has said it should

He starts this presser talking about NDSU, which was the purpose of a Monday presser. He then stumbles into talking about the USD (calls us SDSU twice) game from 3:30 on. I have seen many BP press conferences, as I follow the Huskers, too. Same tired talking points. He points the thumb, not the finger, we didn't execute up to his standard, we didn't prepare well enough.... etc. He never directly says it, but you can tell that he views USD as being the inferior team, and that he was jobbed by the refs. Its like when Trump was forced to take back his "all sides" statement. I'm guessing his anger management coach advised him to skip the post-game, and move on to NDSU, but he ended up making this presser the post-game anyway. Funny stuff. no wonder they lost. He thought they were still playing South Dakota State

I'm told that Pelini left Nielson hanging after the game. Watching the replay it looks like an assistant had to go out and meet Bob. What a chode. There's nothing to protest. He lost and couldn't deal with it. Such a small man. There is little doubt that Pelini is a Mules Ass but the guy can coach and he can motivate. I don't hate the guy as much as most but I do love to see him meltdown on the side lines. Who cares if he didn't shake Nielson's hand. Bob will just take it in stride and go onto the next game. It is actually a compliment to Bob and his team that Bo wouldn't come shake his hand. If Pelini was the coach of the Coyotes I think most would find a way to love the guy. People may say "no way" but in reality most fans would be able to accept his antics if it meant winning. they shook hands I saw it

had to vote for Elon. They have been absolute garbage for several years and have pulled a rabbit out of a hat 4 times. They would get crushed in a head to head with the yotes though

I'm making my first trip to Macomb. Anyone have any info they care to share about tailgating/gameday there? It looks like this game is their homecoming. was there two years ago. It was a good tailgating atmosphere. They had Dennis DeYoung live in concert. Tickets were cheap and it was easy to get into the stadium. Not a very big crowd that day. Unfortunately we lost the game and Sam McLaren that day to a spine injury thankfully he's recovered and is now on the coaching staff

Amazing that they say about Strevy going down our team would be done...I didn't know he played all the defensive positions and was throwing and catching the ball??? Wow how ignorant! Well let's see if Taryn Christian went down would the bunnies be done? If Easton stick went down would NDSU be done?? I can tell you the Austin Simmons is a talented QB. The people that make these statements need to do their homework before spewing! I agree with you. We might be thin at some positions on the team but QB is not one of them

He moved on, his teammates moved on, so can we. . I agree. I just think it could be used as a case study in human nature. Too often we think the grass is greener when in fact you're current situation is pretty good.

After watching the game today I came away thinking we don't have any glaring weaknesses. Then I stared thinking. I wonder how much Gink could have helped this team. So then I told my wife... do a search to see where he's at. She found him on the depth chart at Wisconsin he's second team OLB. I really liked Gink and still wish the best for him but I wonder if USD wouldn't have been a better path to reach his goals. Oh well it was a 3.5 hour drive home and we had to talk about something
