Scrolling through the roster, I noticed that true freshman RB Marquiz Simpkins is no longer listed. Can anyone shed some light on his departure? I'm under the assumption that Calvin Strong is sitting out this year. If that is the case, it is frightful how thin we are at this position.

It seems like Pelini would have a lot bigger offers than Youngstown State and the only way I could see him going there is if he is looking for a change of pace and a significant pay cut by doing so. Is there a connection between Pelini and Tressel? I would be surprised if this happened and it would mean bad news for the rest of the MVFC if he did. Sorry Husker fans but the guy is a good coach and I'm not sure you are going to get anything better just by replacing him. No one wants to play in the cold anymore hence why the entire big 10 is down significantly the last 10 years and a guy that can get you 9-3 every year is doing a good job. I'm from Youngstown, born and raised. With the huge buyout of my contract I am receiving from Nebraska ($7.5M), I'm not really in it for the money any longer and don't care about the pay cut. Just looking to 'go back home' and live a more quiet lifestyle.

A little trivia: In 21 Missouri Valley games, the Coyotes have scored more than 17 points a total of FIVE times.

If Wes is given the reigns to the program after Glenn it's going to be VERY hard to feign interest in the football program. If that were to happen, my support to the program -vocally and financially- ... Would. Be. Over. He is completely in over his head. Our point production is horrendous. 2012 17.0(overall) 15.6(MVFC) last place 2013 17.4(overall) 17.8(MVFC) 9th place 2014 20.0(overall) 12.7(MVFC) last place Embarrassing!

If there isn't an optimistic upswing to end the season or a shakeup in the staff in the offseason I'm going to be pretty apprehensive about buying season tix next year. Year 3 under Glenn, this is inexcusable. Ditto. I have remorse buying season tickets this year. Have had a season package for about 10 years now, but this is the first year I have had some regret over that decision. Hope something positive can happen over the remaining games to pull several of us away from the ledge.

Bears get an easy TD pass. Gonna be 17 to 3 now. Game over? More like season over ... will have an 0-8 conference record for the second time in a 3 year span.

At the game and our return game is putrid and our punt coverage could cost us the game. We might as well go for it on all fourth downs. Yep, Special Teams were costly yet again. We averaged a net 30 yards per punt to their 38 yards. Kickoffs we had a net of 32 yards per to their 40. They had 219 yards in punt and kick returns to our 60. All of this combined led to an average starting field position of the 19 yard line for USD. UNI's average start was the 40 yard line. That is awfully hard to overcome. However, our scoreboard operator may be worse.

1. 75 yard kick off against 2. Delay of game in punt formation ( not intentional) 3. We blocked a kick at 35 but recovered 10 yards back at 25. Is it a live ball in college? Or is this a Leon lett recovery. 4. The ground ball kick after our TD 5. Opening kickoff 2nd half 6. Punt from 35 yes line for touchback 7. 3 yrd punt 8. 3 USD returns all day include 17 yrd, 13 yrd and 16 yrd which included a holding penalty. I realize some r nitpicking but they are all considered fails. Additionally, here is a breakdown of our Field Position Advantage (or in this case, disadvantage) for the year: Oregon -5 William Penn even Montana -17 Northern Arizona -12 Southern Illinois -10 Not once have we won the field position battle and that is a strong reflection of Special Teams play. Amazing we kept the Montana close when their average starting field position was their own 43 yard line. Granted, they did miss three field goals.
