Great job LADY YOTES! Facts are facts- that was a road game and you dominated. Great hustle on loose balls, positioning on rebounds, poise at the foul line.
This was not the championship game. Finish strong tomorrow and LEAVE NO DOUBT!

More than anything today, it was good to see the Ladies play with passion and toughness from start to finish. The USD crowd (small as it was) responded to the effort with good enthusiasm and energy. We need that on the MBB side too.
Hope the ladies come out and punch their ticket tomorrow to the Big Dance. I did hear that Seekamp woke up this morning with the flu and was really struggling today even though her results on the court were awesome.

Yes, Amy said that Seekamp was up all night with some kind of bug, but that she was smart with her approach on the court. I guess the jump shot is where she struggled the most in practice, and I could definitely see that on the court. She still found a way to be a leader, very smart player.

Today was a true team effort. Polly continues to have a great tournament and really hit the boards and the baskets in the paint today. I was really impressed with Bridget today as well and hope she can continue the momentum and great play tomorrow. I'm looking forward to celebrating the Lady Yotes' first ticket to the Big Dance tomorrow. Go Yotes and Fight South Dakota!

What a great, great win for the Coyotes. We were a wisker away from not even being in the game in the first place. Down 8 with 3:00 to go against W. Illinois only to miraculously comeback and win with a late heave three pointer. The Yotes came out with such great energy to beat the Jacks. I like this to the miracle on ice in 1980. The USA still had to beat Finland in the gold metal match after the storybook win over the Soviets. Denver is USD's Finland. Lets write this story all the way to the conclusion. No stopping now. Imagine the type of opponent USD could play in the first round of the big dance. Maybe someone like Stanford or Notre Dame. I hear that USD could be a #15 seed in the tourney. How often do 15's beat 2's in the Women's NCAA's?

The very short article on state's website starts out by saying "The jacks had a very bad day offensively and the Coyotes took advantage of that..." Obviously excuse making! I think the Coyote D had a lot to do with the jack offense!! My guess is that tomorrow should be down day in brooktown so those fans can console each other and come up with better excuses!!

One game at a time - that's always been my credo (for SDS fans this means doctrine, ideology, or style, if you follow).
I understand many fans are guilty of looking ahead to competition beyond the next opponent and that's understandable. Yes, this was a GREAT win! Savor it for a day (maybe less?) then let's focus on the next game. The future is now, so to write. Denver must be playing well, too. Let's get that next win and wonder about what happens later, later.
Coyotes beat'em, if there is vociferous crowd support.

How often do 15's beat 2's in the Women's NCAA's? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCAA_Women%27s_Division_I_Basketball_Championship#First-round_gamesTo answer your question, there is no parity in Women's College Basketball. While a 16 seed has won against a 1 seed once, the 15 and 14 seeds are a combined 0-160. To further showcase the lack of parity, the lowest seed to ever win the championship is a 3 seed (twice), and last year Louisville set the record for lowest team to make the title game as a 5 seed. All that being said, our Yotes would definitely throw that history away

Congrats on the huge win! Now we don't have to hear the announcers during the championship game talk about SDSU the whole time. Great Defense and hustle today! Great offensive boards by Polly today. Lets get this one tomorrow now.

This could possibly be the biggest thing that ever happened at USD. NCAA tournament berth, obviously this will draw bigger crowds to the games, recruiting vs. SDSU and surrounding schools.
Will be cheering on our girls from northern Iowa. Wish I could be there.

Congrats on the taking the Summit League title and your first trip to the NCAA tournament. I would have been disappointed if your girls squandered the opportunity.

Puzzling, but I guess it shows that a lot of that blue isn't diehard blue and can be swayed. Let's do some more swaying next year!
