A great way to cap off a fantastic week for Coyote athletics. Volleyball pulled in wins against Big East and Pac 12 opponents, Soccer wins by a combined score of 7-1 over UND and UNI, Football knocked off a ranked opponent in convincing fashion, and we got to see another impressive class of athletes inducted into the Coyote Hall of Fame.
Go Yotes!

Tough loss tonight in women's soccer. I'm afraid that will knock them out of the play-off hunt unless they get some help.

The Coyotes beat IUPUI 2-1 in Vermillion today. The win ups the conference mark to 3-3 and makes 2 in a row in the left hand column. The Coyotes were in some trouble today down 1-0 but scored a goal in the 58th minute to tie it and won it in the 86th minute. Fairly dramatic goal in the waning moments to secure the win in front of a festive crowd of 81 afternoon onlookers. The Coyote volleyball and soccer teams must have been motivated by the win of the football team in Fargo because neither have lost since and both were kind of struggling prior to.

USD beat Western Illinois today 4-2 in the last game at the USD Soccer Complex. With the win it appears USD has clinched the fourth and final spot in the SL tournament and will play 1 seed NDSU on November 5th. It is USD's first time playing in this tournament. Yotes have one more regular season game at IPFW a week from today.

Jeremy Hoeck's recap of the game: www.yankton.net/sports/article_af3b631e-7b59-11e5-a40c-3b17faa9d2fe.htmlReading the article I realized that USD has not clinched fourth in the league just yet. I must have been really confused when trying to read the standings previously (don't read standings with ties often I guess). Can still potentially finish third, fourth, or fifth. A win Sunday or Denver losing either of its remaining games clinches us a spot in the SL tournament.
