A Coyote victory on Saturday would go a long way toward rejuvenating this season and injecting some life back in to the remaining schedule. I hope the staff and team can make the necessary adjustments and get things back on track. Offense, defense and special teams all have areas that need addressing, but it's not like we're a long ways from getting it done (i.e. the first half against Northern Arizona).
I will be tuning in to the game in between drives while pheasant hunting in central SD. I hope this game is as exciting to listen to as the USD win over UNI was last year. We had a dozen guys sitting around a suburban drinking beer hooting and hollering over that one. It only takes a few wins to start earning respect in the Valley. Imagine what a win this weekend would do going in to the home game against NDSU?
I still remember cheering for a USD touchdown against EWU and suddenly making eye contact with their head coach and QB as they looked up in to our section. I just hollered, "All day Eastern Washington, all day!" as we were on our way to owning the #1 team in the land at the Dome. First things first though, let's take care of business on Saturday and get to gettin' in the Valley.

Well, I can see there is a whole lot of interest in this game. I guess everyone has been really down just like I have all week. The loss to UNI really took a lot of wind out of whatever sails I have left. I've been giving it a lot of thought though and have come to the conclusion/decision that the Coyotes are my team, they have always been my team, they will always be my team and I am gonna support them one way or the other. Win or lose that is the way it is going to be. So I'm signed up for the 'on line' broadcast from BearLand and will be pulling for the Yotes as hard as ever. I will be very jubilant if they win and, as usual, I will be disappointed if they don't. I will find entertainment in it and have fun.
With that said:
South Dakota 31 Missouri State 21
Yotes get a confidence building road win and get off to a positive week of preparation for the invasion of the almighty team sickening from the great wasteland that is southern Canada.

Yep, I have Missouri State today 24-14. This is probably the second most winnable game left on the schedule so if the Yotes are to make a dent in the MO Valley today would be a good start. SD4Ever I am glad you had a great experience back in Vermillion for Dakota Days last week.
