I wish sandakotastate would show up and try to preach about the unstoppable dynasty that is the 3-3, 5th place SDSU WBB team. No way USD unseats them.....again! If they didn't pull out that lucky win at IPFW they would nearly be eliminated from the race altogether.
If we are able to win our games in Indiana next week it will all be downhill from there with 6 of the final 9 conference games at home. We already have a full game lead on second place, and are 2-0 against the three teams tied for second. Certainly ours to lose this year.

I was impressed by the crowd today!
Yotes are learning how to win and the crowd is learning how to cheer!
Hope everybody had a good time and will return on the 28th.

It was a good game to attend. I felt the refs were pretty bad both ways. A lot of delayed calls and touch fouls.

It was a good game to attend. I felt the refs were pretty bad both ways. A lot of delayed calls and touch fouls. Welcome to the USD/SDSU games of the past few years. Last year's game at Frost had 59 combined fouls and the game in Vermillion had 53. Both mens games had 42 combined for each game. As Trevor Gruis tweeted on Saturday, "They should only let guards play in the rivalry because the bigs are always in foul trouble on both sides...let em play refs!"

bunnies sniffing Yote ass How's the view from 5th place! Love it. Maybe now Mick Garry can finally call USD the favorite on the women's side. Doubtful but I'm hopeful. We may even get a positive article out of the win on the Argus Leader website. Hopefully there are not too many back handed compliments in it like usual. GO YOTES.

While I get that you guys are excited about the good start to conference play (and you should be), USD has only played 5 conference games. That's only a third of the schedule. Still a long way to go to be worried about "1st place" or "5th place". Heck, if you haven't realized it by now, no one is untouchable in the Summit League. The Oral Bob game is evidence of that, just like SDSU losing to the Bison and the Jags.
You're in the driver's seat, and that's great, but maybe hold off on the ticker-tape parade until a little closer to March.

I don't think anyone is proclaiming the Yotes to have the Summit tied up, but just having fun with SDST fans. Over on the bunny board the Jacks have pretty much shored up the next 5 Summit title in their eyes. I think you are on the wrong board if you are calling for homer-ism. I think the Jacks win the game in Frost, and should be very tight for the regular season crown between a few different teams. The tourney will be interesting as well.

It was reasonable when they got to be the only SD team in the conference tournament held in their backyard. Dang Coyotes just had to cut into that pie.

Merged men's and women's games into one story, read like SDSU was playing with themselves. Shoddy journalism. I just noticed that I got called out. I don't know why you or any other yote fans look at standing this early in the season. There are 2/3 of the conference season left. Yes, SDSU has a couple loses on the road already (1 in which our all-conference player was ill and didn't play). All the conference loses are by a combined 10 points. I'm not worried. There are a lot of games to be played. Like you said USD still has to go to IUPUI, IPFW, NDSU, and SDSU. Those aren't gimmie game. IUPUI and IPFW a lot better than what their records show. The Jags have really good post players and the Dons can shoot it. Both teams are inconsistent though. I will say this, if SDSU loses to WIU on the road tomorrow more than likely SDSU won't win the regular season, but still will finish either 2nd or 3rd. SDSU is clearly not playing their best basketball right now and are lacking post defense. They will only get better. SDSU is only 1.5 games out of 1st. That is not that big of a deficient with 10 game left. SDSU just can't afford a loss to WIU tomorrow with them being ahead of the Jacks in the standings. It should be a helluva race for the regular season champs just like the men's side. USD finished last year 7-7. SDSU finished 13-1. If it comes down to it I'll just play the "yote card" and say it doesn't matter until Sioux Falls then proclaim how much better the Jacks are by winning the tournament despite a worse regular season record Fun Fact: SDSU hasn't always been the #1 seed in Sioux Falls when they have won the tournament.

It is still a tight race sandakotastate and its far from over. SDSU still has a very good shot at capturing the regular season crown along with a couple other teams. All this board is trying to point out is that we are clearly the favorites at the moments and happy with the win on Saturday regardless if there are 13 games left or not.
Also quit using the sick player excuse. If that is valid then you cannot count the regular season crown last year when Seekamp was out the first 5 or 6 conference games. whatever it was. Seekamp is no doubt a better player than Megan.
GO YOTES.

"But the Coyotes earned 41 shots from the foul line compared to 22 for SDSU." SDSU fouled like 4 times in the final minute. Actual fouls numbers (not shots) were SDSU-26 USD-20, so discounting the hack fouls at the end, SDSU was really only called for 2 more fouls.
