If Thayer's eyes do not deceive him it sounds like there is some very egregious home cooking by the refs in this one.

I agree that the officiating has been terribly against the Coyotes in the game or at least that is according to Thaler. Lamar fouls out. Seekamp to the line for 2 and it's 79-77, 8 seconds left.
First good Second good
81-77 timeout Bison 4.9 seconds to go.

Man this has been one that just couldn't end fast enough. First time this second half that I have been able to rest easy, Yotes up 4 with 5 seconds left.

2 seconds left. layup for NDSU 81-79
Hoff to the line for 2
First good Second good
That's it. The Yotes win 83-79
The Yotes have got to learn to close out these games better than this. They completely let the momentum shift to NDSU and almost blew a 22 point lead. I guess we can just breathe a sign of relieve and move on to the next game.
Now things don't look so bad. If the Yotes lose in Frost that would only create a tie at the top instead of the Yotes being behind the Jacks. The Coyotes have road games left at SDSU and at Denver and the other games are all at home.

Coyotes escape with a 4 point win after leading at one time by 23. Listened to the game on the radio. A few questions for those of you that were there or watching online: Did we just stop playing any defense most of the 2nd half or was NDSU just extra hot? Did the officials miss as many traveling calls as John indicated on the radio?? Yotes need to work on having consistent defense for complete games which I know is easy to say but hard to do!! Despite all of this the team did do well to win a close, tough (2nd half) game without Tia!!

I agree with you they need to learn to step on the throat when the opponent is down. That's not as easy on the road. However, there's a great positive to take away. This was a good gut-check W. When the levee started to break, they showed the fortitude not to panic and maintained composure for the win. That said, I'm glad the games aren't 41 minutes long. Nice road win ladies. Go Yotes!

The Yotes can afford to be without Hemiller this week against a severe underdog in Omaha at home as it is thankfully only a 1 game week. Going forward her absence would be missed a whole lot more. With games still coming up at Denver, at SDSU and vs IUPUI and Western Illinois her presence would be a nice asset. Luckily the team is deep in talent so they can get by in the short term. Hopefully she isn't out long.
