TRAVIS VOKOLEK OLB TE Kickapoo High School Springfield, MO HUDL6'6" 215lbs. Once again, I have to say that I am loving the size of the guys we are going after. Huge and athletic frames to build on.

Mitch Lewis 6'6" 220 TE/WR Naperville North HS. Naperville, IL HUDLThat's a big bodied guy with good ball control. It looks like he may have been a basketball player and has a basketball scholarship offer from Northern Colorado.

Bedale would be a great get! Great quickness, sheds blocks well and spends a lot of time in the offensive backfield with his penetration skills!

Anybody else feel a little embarrassed when we have recruits in town watching an important league game with only 4,000 fans in the stands?

Does he have an offer from USD? I saw that he has retweeted some USD stuff. Not sure. We really only know about offers if the guys publicly announce they have one. Many times you want to get a guy down to campus to see how they fit in, get their actual measurements, lay the groundwork, etc. One thing I will tell you is, this staff is MUCH more proactive about recruiting. I have seen FAR more kids on official and unofficial visits during the season vs. years past. I think that is essential. Getting kids on campus for a game is huge. Some old school staffs (LOLWA) still subscribe to the idea that it is better to have visits in the off-season so that kids have more one on one time with the coaches, but I think that is shortsighted these days. Kids are more concerned with who their teammates will be, what the game and fans are like, where they will be living, etc. Further, in the upper midwest that can be fatal if you are trying to bring in a kid from a warmer climate. There is still a TON of time for players to meet with coaches one on one when they start doing in-home visits in December-February. That is when/where coaches become closers.

To be fair to prior coaches and staffs, our access and information has only recently become readily available. Don't get me wrong, this staff is doing an excellent job recruiting. Social media and twitter used for recruiting really only took off in the last couple years. There were probably more official/unofficial visits taking place than what you and I were aware of.
