Heard that Jake Springer of KC committed to Navy... lost another one... Oh well... Good for him and God bless him for wanting to serve our Nation.

Given the train-wreck situation unfolding with the Gophers right now, does anyone else wonder if Streveler is sending some of his friends there a message about playing for the Yotes?

Interesting thought about the Streveler Minnesota connection. Wouldn't that be something? Seems unlikely but even 1 more athlete in a key area (cough) DL (cough) could make an impact.

what are the transfer requirements. To go from FBS TO FCS? Could they play next year?

Minnesota is back on track after the players were shown the evidence that led to the suspensions. It seems the players were premature and uninformed when they made their initial statement.

To be clear the players at Minnesota were more concerned about due process and the fact the the university named all of the players involved - beyond the original 4 who were accused of wrongdoing. This thing is far from over and frankly the way it had been handled by the U is appalling. A lot of bad decisions were made that night by some players and they should be punished but some of the young men suspended were not even at the apartment that night and one was even misidentified as being at the party when in fact he was no where near the. Events In question.
Expect some serious litigation from this one and I am pretty sure some firings will be felt. The dumpster fire of u of M football is likely to continue for a long time.

Was going to post that. The boycott wasn't about the incident, it was about due process, these shadow kangaroo courts on these college campuses, and about a fair hearing.
The way the U of M has handled this is really no different than the way Title 9 cases are handled on many college campuses. That's a shame and something that I hope these sad events shed a light on.

I guess I didn't read up enough on this one. Perhaps it is more accurate to state the U of M players put on backpedaling clinic here if what you guys are saying is true.

I agree it would great to get Zachary!! He appears to be a Bouma type runner which is high praise--a load, hard to tackle, breaks tackles and appears to be somewhat faster than Trevor.

It would be awesome to get a Des Moines pipeline going. Dowling and Valley are two of the best 4A programs in the state and each put out D1 talent every year.

Funny, I just posted the same thing in the other thread. This seems like a very good get.
